We had a fabulous 5 night stay at Melfort village. The accommodation was very well equipped and they even offer extra equipment such as slow cookers. It's quiet and in a beautiful location. They called us the week before to make sure we brought everything we needed with us as the nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away in Oban. We also booked massages for our last day - highly recommended! I would recommend Melfort Village for a quiet, secluded, self catering break.

The location was wonderful, with incredible historic sites in walking distance of the cottage. The cottage was beautifully presented and lovely and clean. It was spacious and very comfortable. The owner was incredibly helpful in suggesting places to visit in the area.

We liked everything about the house. The owner was very helpful and available if we needed anything. After a day of walking it was lovely to come back cook some food (or get a takeaway) and settle down in front of the wood burner and watch some to tv. It was also easy to walk into Oban. Great holiday, will definitely be coming back.

We loved staying here! It was just what we wanted - peaceful yet close enough to Inveraray. The lodge was very comfortable with a superior kitchen and bathroom and a big comfy bed. The little enclosed seating area out the front was lovely - especially with the bird feeder in full view. We had everything we needed, can't fault this place!

    Total luxury. You couldn’t hope for a better room with the most incredible vantage point over Loch Melfort and the little harbour it resides above. Escapism from normal life at its best.

    Location of course, is the unique delight that lifts the property from very comfortable - to a luxury experience. Really, the property has every comfort required. It is fitted out with quality materials and is spotless. I regret not having time to try out the sauna - so, next time! The rooms are spacious and well proportioned, and the lounge looks out to the loch, over the lovely patio - where we ate breakfasts. The welcome we received was warm, informal and perfect.
