I loved the location of the property about 10/ 20 minutes drive from most of the historic sites we wanted to see. The house is about 10 minutes drive outside Stromness in a very quiet location, by a quiet roadside. The owner Simon was so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful and he responded to our requests for information immediately. The house has everything you need and was comfortable, warm and spotless and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property. Love Orkney and thank you Simon for all the info and suggestions for spectacular walks, we even saw puffins at Brough of Birsay and enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Standing Stones Hotel listening to the Birsay boys play in the folk festival! Hope to return one day to explore the islands further.

Great location, central and close to Kirkwall but also spacious with off street parking on driveway. View of harbour from front windows. The house was clean, recently refurbished and well thought out. Kitchen / utility had quality appliances and everything we needed. Immediate response from host when we needed it, easy check in / check out and clear instructions. Lots of attention to detail, including lovely planting in the garden.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very well equipped – everything we needed was there. The location was incredibly peaceful, perfect for families with children. The shower – hands down the best we had on the whole journey! The host was very friendly and helpful, which made us feel even more welcome. Highly recommended.

We liked everything about our stay in the cottage. The accommodation is compact but perfectly adequate for two people. The decor and facilities are of a high standard and the welcome hamper was a very pleasant surprise. With the location of the property being so close to the town centre, it was enjoyable to stroll along the lovely town centre streets.

I brough my own breakfast and food, but it was nice to have jam selections and a loaf of bread. The key got jammed in the door and the owned came right away and had a lock smith within an hour
