I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. everyone was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation itself was top-notch—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail, from the bedding to the amenities, reflected a commitment to quality and comfort. We had an excellent stay that exceeded our expectations. The chalet was clean. The host family was super nice and helpful. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Also wifi was the strongest. The night in the jungle is magical, you can watch the fireflies from the upper floor. The location was good, 20 min. to the city along the tracks. The family also helped us to rent a scooter for a reasonable price. We highly recommend to those who want to escape chaos of the city.

Everything was amazing, the view was unbelievable and the staff were all so lovely. Namal was so helpful and was there for anything we needed during our stay. Would recommend walaa kulu to everyone! Breakfast in particular was outstanding. Thank you again for having us!

Our family loved the homely vibe with clean rooms, bathroom and kitchenette. We were able to wash and dry our clothes, and do our own cooking for some meals. We also explored a nearby viewpoint/lookout and watched some movies that were on the TV provided. Definitely would stay again. Lal, the host, also provided us fruit and soft drinks, which was very kind.

Very clean and scenic accom. Hot water system was so nice in the cooler climate. Beautiful outlook from the mountains. A bit of a walk to Ella town, though easy to get a tuk tuk. Staff were friendly and accomodating, offering us breakfast and providing a lift to town.
