Elles was a wonderful, warm and very responsive host. To connect with her and her husband was always so easy and inspiring, Even just entering the terrain en to be welcomed by them as well as all the lovely animals on the farm made all our tiredness from traveling go away. The home to stay really is a delight, and also very inspiring when it comes to thinking of innovative ways to use materials and to treat the environment in a sustainable way. But above all, this has been a home away from home for us. The perfect place to rest after a long journey, amidst the peace of a "stiltegebied" (silence area) with endless fields stretching out as far as they eye can see. The windmill offered unique accommodation in a beautiful setting. The host thoughtfully left us some drinks in the fridge and there were some basic groceries in the cupboard such as salt and spices. We could use the washing machine and the beds were super comfy. We used the bicycles and it offered convenient transport to the station. A great place to stay with kids.
