The villa consists of 3 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a coffee machine, and 3 bathrooms with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are offered in the villa. The property has an outdoor dining area. We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

The only thing better than the house itself are the kind people who run it. Arlinda gives you all the information you could need about the location, how to get there, and the best hikes in the area. Maria José prepares the most delicious food, I am vegan, and she cooked one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life! I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back for sure.

Located in Porto Novo in the Santo Antao region, Casa Madeira features a patio. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can make use of the picnic area or the year-round outdoor pool, or enjoy views of the sea and mountain. Very nice place, clean, quiet and close to the beach. Good strategic spot for exploring west side of island. I would definitely go back there.
