I've stayed in loads of holiday apartments over the years, and invariably they're missing something you realise is essential half way through your stay, or something crops up which makes your departure day stressful. I've given an 'exceptional' rating for our stay, because I really can't think of anything which I could reasonably have expected to be better, and that is an exception to the rule. All sorts of little things made me happy—the iron was way better than mine at home, the dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid were premium brands, there were ample spare toilet rolls (never happens!), a choice of duvets, games which actually entertained the kids, very few housekeeping tasks to complete on departure—all added up to a very pleasant and stress-free stay. The phone call to welcome us and check whether there was anything we needed was also very welcome. And of course the location is great. I've been visiting the area for thirty-odd years so I obviously love the place. Ash Lodge is in prime position with lovely views from all sides, very easy access from the main road without being in a busy location, etc.

I loved my little woodland retreat. Everything was just as hoped, and more. Tam was such a warm & helpful host, and went above and beyond, to ensure our little family meet up there, was a happy success. I really didn't want to leave!
Good location next to a picturesque river in a lovely village. Delightful staff. Good food. Free parking. Very good value.
A lovely old inn in a magical location on the edge of the village green by the centuries old bridge on the River Teme. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing, you could easily lose yourself as time slips gently away downstream. Fabulous staff, food and ambience, people laugh and enjoy life here. My room was gorgeous and comfortable and I had a wonderful sleep. A fantastic find and where I hope to stay the next time I'm in the area.
Second time at the pod located in beautiful surroundings with lovely walks to the local villages
Lovely pub and staff in a beautiful location. On a quiet road, which we really appreciated as although we live in a village we’re on a main road. Nice comfortable chairs in dining room. Food was very good and the breakfast was excellent.
No breakfast self catering location, ideal pretty village setting. Aa
Exceptionally friendly welcome and attentiveness of staff. Very pleasant and convivial village pub atmosphere.
Perfect for a retreat, cosy private cabin with a lovely seated area around a lake. The option of swimming or going in a boat on the small lake was taken advantage of too. Located very close to the village (5 min walk), beautiful surroundings.
