We stayed here because we wanted to do a safari in Yala park. The place is really nice, a real retreat, surrounded by nature. They cooked for us - delicious dinner and they prepared a snack for the safari, which the host organised for us. Our driver Bati did an amazing job at spotting animals, he was super knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed the time here.
Anne has created an oasis of calm and civilisation opposite a large lake. Her restaurant allows the breezes and the overhead fans to cool you as eat. There is a varied and delicious menu - I recommend the fusion rice. The room was comfortable and luxurious with a private patio for sitting and contemplating the parade of domestic and wildlife on the shores of the lake. Amal proved to be a knowledgeable and patient naturalist pointing out a plethora of different birds, reptiles and we even saw a baby elephant.
A retreat in every sense for all the senses. Your private waterfall bathing rock. The wonderful fresh food and banana’s from own garden. 🙏
Amazing location at the border of the Yala park. It’s quite incredible Dulaj and his team managed to build such luxurious bungalows in the middle of the jungle! You sleep with wildlife sounds surrounding you. Being super local they have great relationships with safari guides, Nalinda was a top animal spotter
+ familiar feeling with host Michael and his son + perfect cool sleep without mosquitos + pets (dog, cat) and wild animals around the house (dandulena, monkeys, birds) + very good food: fresh, local, organic, homemade + wonderful hike to the highest mountain in the range with authentic village vibes and djungel feeling
I liked that the villas are very close to nature and wild life. It's a delight to see peacocks walking around right outside your patio.
The design is super cute, you feel like in a small village with small houses next to the National park with lots of animals (dog, chicken, peacock, monkeys, crocodiles by the river)
stayed one night on the way to Ella. everything was fine, a nice room, a beautiful sunny courtyard with monkeys, in the morning the owner fed me breakfast. In other words, I had a great time. the owner has recently taken up the villa, he works in a car service nearby, behind the house there are fields and nature
I slept in the disco ball tree house. How cool is that. Open air shower was simple but surprisingly good! The hosts are very very friendly and welcoming. The whole village breaths creativity and love for nature.
