Located in a really nice place called "Alykes", everything was super close. Car/scooter rental, ATM for cash withdrawal, supermarket, greengrocers, souvenir sellers and several excellent restaurants where you can taste typical Greek cuisine. All around are original bars and lounge bars to have excellent drinks and listen to music. All places accept cash and electronic payments and everyone speaks English. The apartment was perfect! 35 minutes from the airport easily reached by taxi. The cost is around 35/40 Euros for the ride. Directly on the beach, going out to the balcony you have a wonderful view. There is a small kitchen with gas if you want to cook something yourself. There is also the beach (the owners are the same as the apartment), equipped with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas that you can buy for 10 euros a day. In my opinion that establishment is the best you will find nearby. Tina, one of the owners and main contact, is a kind girl who gives you all the advice and support you need. She speaks perfect English and is always ready to help. She booked the taxi for us for both trips (airport-Alykes on the first day and Alykes-airport on the last day). Just ask her if you need this kind of help. Cleaning and change of towels available every two days, the Lady is really kind. I really liked that place, in my opinion everything was just perfect. My 4 year old was very happy to see baby turtles hatching nearby (5 min drive) at Garakas Beach! Our apartment had a big private terrace sheltered from the sun where we could eat at a big table. There was even a baby chair! Our apartment came with air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms, a big living room, and a kitchen with a tosti iron. The hostess was very friendly with our young kids, and the owner even met us in Zakynthos town to bring us the phone charger I had left behind.
