The location was amazing - like a fairly tale! Charming church bells. Music in the square. Restaurants a plenty right outside the door. Parking was helpful. We loved the room's querkiness. We loved meeting the owners doggies!

It was a beautiful quiet small town! Really enjoyed renting bikes ($14 for the day) & making our way around the beautiful lake! We also took the cable car up to Zwolferhorn, wonderful views & hikes!

Absolutely a great place to stay with welcoming host’s that a very lovely family orientated that if you need advice help nothing is to much trouble. Rooms are lovely with balcony and views to wow you. Ifs a very comfortable bed best night sleep I have had in ages the whole place is amazing extremely clean in fact I go to say not a bit of dust or mould to be seen. It’s not far from shops bank and the lake and lots to do there, the breakfast is lovely and a wide range of choices and juice and the biggest selection of tea I have see. Definitely top of any places I have stayed the friendliest and cleanest I will definitely be back and definitely recommend without hesitation thanks for making me feel welcome

We had no lake view but the lake was a minute walk and the center of town was also very close. There is also easy parking. I wanted to show my wife Salzburg but the accomodation there was double the price. We decided to stay here and take bus to Salzburg. But St Gilgen and the neighbooring villages (linked by cruise boat) are less crowdy, more beautiful with fewer tourists. Halstatt is also 30 minutes from there

The size of the room was also a plus, with more than enough space for the two of us and our large bags. Also, while they didn't provide a huge variety of toiletries, what they did provide was more than we could possibly need. St. Gilgen is a lovely little town and this is a good home base. It felt really good to come back to our room every evening and pass out to the view of the alps, as there were large windows and a balcony door made of glass. Also loved waking up in the morning to the mist and clouds right in front of us. The hotel staff kept everything very neat and clean, and smelling great 😊

The room is very clean and has balcony. The room is very big with good ventilation and sunshine. The staff is very friendly and are glad to help you book activities. The restaurant offers delicious local food and it is also very affordable. This is also a family owned hotel and all the family members are very welcoming.
