Gleice Hellen was incredible. Such a nice and helpful host. She knows the island v well and recommended so many places for me to go. This small and cozy hotel was super nice and the room had a great view on the sea. The breakfast was great as well with lots of fresh fruit and a different homemade juice and cake everyday. I feel lucky I had the privilege to stay there for 5 days. I hope to come back soon!

The best part of staying at this pousada is the restaurant attached to it - super busy as it's super delicious, would definitely recommend! Very friendly and knowledgable team.
Boasting a garden, terrace and views of city, Pousada Bela Vista is set in Abraão, a few steps from Abraao Beach.

We loved having our own breakfast basket delivered either to the table outside our room or the balcony with the sea view. Breakfast was different and delicious each day!
The staff are super friendly and helpful (even though we didn’t speak any Portuguese) they really helped us with lots of things including reasonably priced laundry, organising a Porter, checking and extra sheets.
The aircon was fantastic, really new and worked well. The place was kept clean and tidy. It’s in an Atlantic rainforest so I had seen comments about it being damp…of course the air is humid! Inside the room with the air con on was delightful!!!
It’s a very short walk to the hustle and bustle which we liked, there is a gentle slope from the beach and a few (like 10) steps but nothing challenging (get a Porter for your suitcase), I has a backpack and walked easily (take the main road at high tide, low tide you can walk along the beach) from the port.
Set on the beachfront in Abraão and featuring a garden, Pousada Porto Girassol has free WiFi throughout the property. The property is located less than 1 km from Sain't Sebastian Church.

The location at the end of the beach, where it is peaceful and quiet. No noise from bars and restaurants. Stunning views of the bay from the balcony. The staff was very lovely and helpful. And the breakfast was delicious and very well catered for.

Recanto da Bruna is located in Abraão, within 1.5 km of Preta Beach and 2.1 km of Abraaozinho Beach. The 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi.
Quarto arrumado, bem limpinho e anfitrões muito simpático.
Great spot for our family of 5. The hotel had a great breakfast. Brought In a playpen for us for our 2 yo but we didn’t even need it as the bed was very large and could fit our son in with us. our other two kids stayed in a bunk bed which they loved.
Location is a tiny bit far with the kids, but out kids actually did great walking to and from. Our only tiny complaint would be the pool was green, even though they cleaned and treated it every day. There was too much chlorine which was more irritating for me than the kids. They didn’t mind at all. Overall great!
We would definitely come back!

The entire island is wonderful and staying at Abraão was perfect for us. There were shops and supermarkets and many things to do such as canoeing and hiking. It is not the cheapest place in Brazil but really worth the visit! We had some good Italian food and enjoyed some caipirinha deals. We felt super safe also at night and enjoyed that we were able to walk everywhere!

Ilha Grande is paradise on earth, staying in Abrao is the smartest decision since is the "center" of the island. From there you can go everywhere you'd like. Either by hiking / walking or boat, you'll see the most amazing beaches, some of them even look caribbean.

Abraão itself is a place full of inns, BnBs and restaurants, but regarding attractions, Abraão is just the starting point of most "Ilha Grande" adventures.
Getting to Abraão is pretty easy, but you always have to pay attention to either the public ferry schedule or the "Flexboat" schedule. The public ferry (Barca) comes from Angra or Mangaratiba only once a day and it's the cheapest passage you can get, but it's a 90 minutes trip. The Flexboat schedule is made of different private companies and they cost about 3 times more than the public ferry, but the commute is way faster taking about 30 minutes.
I really liked staying at "Pousada Agua Viva" and their help with the commute was awesome.
The best meal I had at Abraao was at "Lua e Mar" and I ate the "Lua e Mar Grill"

I would highly recommend to spend 3-4 days at ilha grande and specifically Abraão. Take a boat trip to different islands on two of those days and spend the rest of the days just hanging out on the island itself. There is not too much to do on itself but eating at nice restaurants, speaking to the friendly locals and hanging out at the beach will make sure you will be fully rested at the end of your stay over here.
We loved everything about our wonderful stay at Asalem. The setting is exactly what we were looking for - off the beaten path with a great bar and wonderful staff but still close enough to town. Fabrizio and the staff were wonderful and accommodated our every need. Rooms were comfy and had everything we needed. Views were spectacular!! We traveled as two couples for my 40th birthday and I'm so happy I picked this hotel. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Isabelle was extremely helpful in communicating our stay beforehand, arranging our transport to Ilha Grande and back to the airport, met us when we arrived on the island and even helped with luggage! She made herself available for any questions during the stay and gave good recommendations for the island. The property was spacious to accommodate our large group, with good facilities and in a good location in Abraão close to the centre.
Genuinely a mind blowing experience. The property is located away from the ‘crowded’ streets of Abraão, on a peaceful street with the most wonderful view. The room, balcony and bathroom were comfortable and spacious. The air con and ceiling fan were life savers as it got quite warm during our stay. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy a wholesome and welcoming stay on Ilha Grande.
It’s a lovely place! The accommodation has everything you need, it includes transportation from/to Abraao-Saco do Ceu. You will have the opportunity to walk over different beaches, the place is nearby good restaurants (including the one at Club MV, the food was delicious!) They also include a daily breakfast with different options :) The staff and owner make you feel at home.
The location is great, right in the heart of Abraão. The rooms are very basic, don't expect anything fancy. Super soft beds (too soft for me) and there's a weird smell in the room - possibly mold? You can see in the walls and furniture that the wet climate impacts the interior of the rooms, even the pillows had this very strong smell.
It’s the best accommodation of Paraty! It’s a sublime property on a private beach. 10 minutes from Abrao. Very good cuisine. Good cocktails. I come for many years in Ilha Grande, trust me Bonito Paraiso is unbeatable. Staff is very friendly. And the Argentinian owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. Do not hesitate a second
The Pousada it self is just a perfect little jungle in Vila do Abraao, very quiet and peaceful place. They are focused on the hygiene, and the place is spotlessly clean. The rooms were decent size and very comfortable. Is almost in the middle of Abraao so very close to everything. Excellent value for the money. Keep going
We really enjoyed our stay at Pousada Albatroz! The hotel is a bit of a climb from the center of Abraão, but because of that you are in a very quite environment where you’ll only here birds and crickets. The breakfast is absolutely amazing and I found the property to be even more beautiful than on the pictures.
Excellent location right in the heart of Abraao, right by the port. The staff who run the hostel are brilliant - super friendly and helpful and always willing to share their tips for things to do on the island. It had a nice, chilled social vibe when I stayed and was clean and well-equipped. muito obrigado!
The experience itself was really good. Breakfast was good and the room met my expectations with cleanliness, comfort and quietness. The staff support was excellent regarding activities and "Pousada Agua Viva" is located within everything you need to do at Abraao, so superb location.
The place is super neat. Comfortable.
The owner and staff are attentive, extremely friendly and professional.
The breakfast is amazing with breads, cheese, coffee, Brazilian fruits and juices. The rooms have an excellent bedroom and pillows. Wi fi was nice too.
Loved the Pousada, perfect location, the walk to the dock with luggage was easy. Gave us all sorts of great suggestions for things to do and where to eat. Everyone very friendly. Clean, Ac worked. Breakfast was classic Brazilian, everything you would want.
Amazing pousada in Ilha Grande. The house is beautiful, very well maintained. Staff is super friendly, everything is very clean, breakfast has a great variety. The location is two minutes walking distance from the Abraao Pier, so it couldn't be better.
The location a few minutes walk from the main pier in Abraao facing the ocean. Beautiful views from the the terrace. Comfortable king size bed and spacious room. A bit pricey compared to other properties at Ilha Grande but it was worth it.
It was BEAUTIFUL. The rooms and facilities were absolutely spotless and it felt like staying at a luxury villa. We received complementary breakfast every morning as well as an afternoon tea with snacks and coffee. INCREDIBLE!
We enjoyed our stay there a lot! The pousada is located in a quiet but still central street. Breakfast is served in a beautiful garden and offers a variety of Brazilian specialities. The people working there were friendly
Everything is wonderful. Exceptionally clean. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Beakfast is big and afternoon tea with cakes are included in stay. Best place in whole Brazil!!!!!!
