This is a lovely cottage with lots of old-world charm, but very well appointed, lots of bedding, towels, seating, as well as a modern kitchen with a wide range of equipment and crockery, etc. We also really enjoyed the private space outside at the rear of the cottage and the opportunity to sit at the table and soak up the peace and quiet and the rural surroundings.

The village of Broughshane is close to the house and has a Spar, although that does not sell any alcohol. There are 2 fish and chip shops and a pub that we ate in once which was nice. Ballymena has the big supermarkets if you need more than the Spar has to offer. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, everywhere we went was very clean, no litter and people were all friendly. Not far in a car to the coastal road which is a great drive, some lovely beaches and the Giant's Causeway.
We all thought that we will think about going back again as it was so good.
Ann, the host, was very attentive, accommodating and sought to all our requests.
The accommodation is exactly what was advertised and more.
We have used many accomodations around Northern Ireland on different occasions and we collectively believe this to be the best so far.
For someone like me, who would take a lot to satisfy, I would, without a doubt, recommend highly to both my friends and tourists alike.
Excellent for families too.
The local people that we have encountered have been a pleasure too...
Gortin cottage was the perfect getaway for our group. Nestled away on the mountains but close enough to the local village and shops. Fiona and John were fantastic hosts, very accommodating and helpful. The cottage is spacious comfortable and very clean. The outside of the property has the most amazing views with seating areas. For anyone with additional needs this property is one level with a double shower with plenty of space to move around. We look forward to booking this property again 5⭐⭐
My family absolutely loved this property. I addition to the breathtaking views, we were also treated to a sunny, warm day where we sat on the patio and just soaked in the beauty of Ballymena. Our accommodations were perfect and was full of little touches like tea in the cupboard and toiletries in the bathroom. John & Jacqui we’re also on site and were very warm and friendly. We could have stayed forever!
This hostess was outstanding. We really enjoyed chatting with her. The room was perfectly clean and the breakfast was delicious. There is a Forest Park across the street and the River Bann cuts across the town. The restaurant/pub (The Wild Duck Inn) was fabulous. The property is just west of Ballymena, proper, in Portglenone.
The hotel was very quite and relaxing. The facilities are well maintain and clean. The staff were very good and helpful. WiFi was free and easily accessed. The breakfast was top notch, self-service with many options both hot and cold. Plenty of parking available.
Big stylish room and very clean. The hosts were difficult to reach but Debbie downstairs in the pub was brilliant and gave me a warm welcome. Lovely that a breakfast was included too - that seems to be a rarity in Northern Ireland.
The apartment was like home from home and there was a welcome basket which gave it the personal touch, well equipment, the apartment was clean and well presented. It was beautiful better than a four star hotel.
Both the hotel and the bedroom were clean and spacious and there was a lovely terrace area outside for drinks. Covid restrictions were still in place so it was a little hard to fully judge the hotel at its best.
The B&B is located in the heart of Ballymena, very close to the train station and commercial quarters. Brad is a very friendly host. The room is very comfortable.
From Neil, the Hotel Manager, to Joe the Barman and Morgan in the restaurant team, all were exceptional in the freindlyness and could not not do enough !!
