The price was good and (as I was doing Jury service) it was a good location. Staff were really lovely and wanted to fix any issues they could or help in anyway. The breakfast was simplistic but a good variety of choice!
Situated 15 minutes' away by train from Gatwick Airport and central London, EasyHotel Croydon offers accommodation with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
Domestic travellers can reach Croydon by train from London Victoria (15 minutes) or by car via the M25 (22km). International visitors can fly into Gatwick Airport, then take a direct train to Croydon (20 minutes).
The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers to reach Croydon is Gatwick Airport, due to its proximity (approximately 27 km) and excellent transport links to the town.
Croydon, UK, offers diverse public transport options. Tramlink services connect to Wimbledon and Beckenham. Frequent buses serve local areas, while National Rail links to London and beyond. Alternatively, cycling is supported by dedicated lanes. Walking is feasible for short distances. For longer journeys, consider driving or hiring a taxi.

Shopping Destination with Convenient Station
Midway between central London and Gatwick Airport, Croydon is a shopping haven. Hundreds of stores are found under the glass-roofed Whitgift Centre and the even more modern Centrale complex.
This thriving retail industry is one factor contributing to the town being London’s 3rd most important business area, so naturally it has its fair share of skyscrapers. Also tall is the red-brick Croydon Clocktower, housing the town museum, and attached to the town hall overlooking Queen’s Gardens.
Opposite is Fairfield Halls, a large arts venue behind which run train lines connecting East Croydon Station to London Victoria in one direction, and Gatwick and Brighton in the other. Modern trams also link the town to other suburbs. Croydon used to have its own airport (once more important than Heathrow) and its former terminal is a museum open one Sunday a month.
The town minster houses tombs of some archbishops of Canterbury and their summer residence was Croydon Palace, now a school. Much more famous is the BRIT School which has nurtured musical artists including Adele, Jessie J and Katie Melua.
The Croydon accommodation on Booking.com includes 4-star hotels with pools, guest houses with parking and cheap apartments. In the Borough of Croydon are Addington, home of an opulent palace, and neighbouring Shirley with its Grade II-listed windmill.

I grew up near Croydon and it has changed a great deal, It has good transport and access to shops. It is fairly built up in some areas but has a good community spirit and some older buildings do remain.
Coulsdon is in a more leafy part of the borough and I enjoyed staying in the Coulsdon Manor Hotel.

Everything was amazing but only reason I would not give a 5 star is because the curtains were not black out as advised and their were street lights right opposite window which was super annoying inside door did not lock either so put a chair infront for peace of mind. Staff were attentive, happy, and smiling.

The only small problem I noticed was the taps on the sink.
The only small problem I noticed was the taps on the sink. They were not far enough forward in the bowl, so difficult to get your hands, toothbrush etc under. Also the water therefore run onto the surface instead into the bowl.

I only come here because I have relatives in the city otherwise I would not be seen dead here - mind you, with all the knife stabbings that go on in Croydon, that´s always a possibility. A two word description of Croydon would end in hole!
The staff is friendly, committed and ready to help you. The general vibe of the restaurant is great, and the food (we only took breakfast and lunch) is tasty and a great value for the money paid.
The location of the hotel is great for someone who is comfortable with London public transport. The area has a Costa Coffee nearby, and a supermarket around 10mins walk. It is also 15mins away by bus from East Croydon, a well-linked train station to London (15-20mins).
Roberto was very welcoming. Was able to provide all the information required. A very good breakfast was provided. Free parking was available right in front of the house. We can absolutely recommend "Family Home" for a very pleasant stay in Croydon, London. Public transport is very close with a good bus service to East Croydon Station where there are very frequent trains into London.
I like the staff they were really helpful and accommodated me really well. I like the room I was given because it looks like a luxury suite to me and it was very comfortable and cosy and it is close to the West and East Croydon station within a walking distance from each other and also the town centre. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Yet again another fantastic stay in the grand sapphire the receptionists the room the location the free breakfast you can’t fault it’s one of the cheapest and definitely the best hotel around. Free upgrade to a lovely room many thanks to all reception staff for looking after me again deneesha Nadia and Monica x
You get what you pay for. And this is a cheap hotel. Having said that, I understand the high rating it has. Communication was perfect, everything was super clean. There was coffee, water, cookies, etc
The bed was not too good, but that is only downside. I’d still happily go back
The hotel staff were very kind and special call out to Mr. Manoj who provided a fabulous service during our stay and at the breakfast time. He made sure everything was taken care for us and our son 6 years old which made this trip a memorable one. We will come back for sure.
We booked through Booking.com with a special request to the hotel for a dog friendly room, unfortunately this was not passed on. When we arrived the lady at reception was very kind and managed to swap rooms around to allow us to have our dog in our room, she was a star!
I didn’t like anything about the property,
I was very disappointed, because the place doesn’t look good, very dirty, the place smells so bad that I couldn’t stay there, I had check in at the nearest premier inn hotel., I paid £259 over for such a disgusting place…
It was kept very clean and tidy, the location was close to the town centre shopping venues. And the room had all the relative equipment during our stay. The staff was friendly and approachable whenever we had queries or issues.
Room was clean with internet, cable tv and a large bathroom. I got a great price on a single bed in sold-out London. Noon plane out at Gatwick so Croydon is great location. Lots of restaurants on high street.
good location near South Croydon station with easy access to central London, queit, clean rooms, very supportive, friendly and considerate staff make this hotel home away from home.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Near to the tram stop (the fastest route to the city centre goes via East Croydon to London Bridge). Good breakfast.
The location is great with east croydon train station. Easy access to london.
The breakfast is good and staff are friendly.
