Excellent Three Night Stay. Matt and Angie, our hosts were most welcoming. Made us feel very relaxed. Nothing to much trouble for them. As our first time in Great Yarmouth they suggested places to visit (Venetian Waterways/Gardens for example) and recommended local restaurants (Othello and Chicos in particular, both of which were only a few metres away from the Ocean) which were excellent. Our Superior Front Facing Room was spacious, clean and had fabulous uninterrupted views onto beach and sea. Room was daily refreshed. Breakfast was first class with quality ingredients. The Ocean deserve their high rating - first class for a small boutique hotel in the best location in Great Yarmouth. We wish Matt and Angie all the best for the future.

People said that it had improved but I did not see it.
People said that it had improved but I did not see it. Being in a wheelchair really highlighted the difficulties you have. Hard to find a disabled toilet. Gaps in amusements was not always accessible. The ramps into some amusements was so steep. I really wanted fish and chips but they all had steps into them so my experience was restricted.

Disappointed how Great yarmouth has changed, unfortunately for the worse , lots of rundown shops and broken glass , It really does need a complete regeneration as it was such a great place to bring our children when they were younger and it was so sad to see how much it had changed . The pleasure Beach isn't bad but again could do with revamping and maybe a new water ride as tickets weren't cheap in comparison to other seaside resorts that have lots more rides , You shouldn't have to pay to get in if you don't want to go on any rides, just supply wristbands to people that want to as there's really not alot to do if you don't . I honestly.dont think I'll be in any hurry to go back which is a shame .

It's quite a pleasant walk along the sea front and around the centre it's self but if you go off the beaten track there is a lot of rubbish on the street.
We went to the Grovner casino on the front one night to eat and that was good food for a good price.
You can just walk around but there is also an open top bus or horse cartages along the sae front.
The Majestic hotel, is in walking distance to the main arcades, restaurants and pier. Staff are very helpful, and attentive.
The hotel has been redecorated though out but some areas are in need of modernisation. But saying this if you don’t mind a small bathroom and it being a little dated it was over all good value. The bedroom was clean and had a comfortable bed. Just don’t expect 5 star. we didn’t have breakfast but was available at a reasonable cost. Bar area was nice and reasonably priced.
Lovely, friendly and attentive staff. Couldn't have been more helpful. Place spotless. My single room upgraded to a small double, so very good value for money. Hotel very conveniently situated along the seafront. As I'm disabled parking onsite particularly helpful. Super salmon and scrambled egg breakfast. Food and coffee plentiful. Superb view of sea from dining room. Although I didn't use this having a bar, again overlooking the sea, is a real bonus during the day as well as in the evening.
I have stayed here before and loved it, which is why I booked again. Staff are so helpful nothing is too much bother. The hotel is located just a minute from the seafront and a couple of minutes from the main shops and bus station. It was very hot during my stay but I had a fan in my room which was very welcome. Great selection for breakfast including the most delicious honey for my toast. 😀
I will definitely stay here again.
Before we arrived we called the hotel and said our arrangements had changed as we no longer had a baby sitter. I then called to ask if they would allow us to place a travel cot in the room and they said we have already upgraded you to a family room. Amazing hosts and it is the perfect example of a well run family business. The breakfast was amazing best grilled kipper I've had and I have stayed in 5 stars in Dubai!!!!
This hotel is right on the seafront. Staff are top rate. The place was spotlessly clean an the breakfast great quality. Other guests we spoke to had stayed multiple times and we spoke to a local couple who use the downstairs restaurant every few weeks because of the quality of the food. Great value for b&b.
Breakfast was very good. All of the staff were wonderful, very nice and super helpful. The rooms were clean and there was a good selection of coffee/teas. The complimentary water was appreciated. The hotel has a great location and the terrace was lovely to have drinks and dinner on.
Lovely quiet spot on a site with great facilities. Everything is within walking distance including a great beach and bus stops into Great Yarmouth. We enjoyed a good day at Yarmouth races which is also accessible by bus. The chalet was lovely and clean and had everything we needed.
the hotel was right on the seafront. Good value for money. The staff where friendly and helpful. The sea view from the room was lovely. It’s an old building and I think some work has been done, the carpets throughout the hallways where very comfortable.
Staff could not have been more friendly.Excellent breakfast and evening meal.Perfect location to wander around the town and seafront.Last stayed in this hotel in 2007 certainly won't leave that long until next visit.
both my wife and I are disabled, the hotel knew about this and did everything they could to accommodate us from our room was next to the lift to allowing to put our scooters in the bar area to charge over night
Perfect location right centre of Great Yarmouth seafront. Walking distance to pier, pleasure Beach... the owners were lovely and breakfast were the best. We will be back definitely.
