We had a breakfast and an evening meal at the hotel and the food was delicious. The vouchers we received for the food was a lovely bonus.
The room was lovely and warm.

Charming little town on the River Dee with loads of attractions from the Llangollen canal to hill walking. Right in the heart of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct World Heritage Site, so a very interesting and historical place. Not enough time to visit everything, so would like to return.

great holiday location, walking mountain biking or white water rafting and canoeing plus lots of bars / restaurants for after or instead of.
The horse shoe falls are entirely uninspiring. more of a small weir in a field.
the 20mph speed limits are ridiculous in places. steap hills and low speed mean low gears and high revs. Hardly improving the lives of those who live there.
Wales has so much to offer, nice people, beautiful hills and rivers and some of the best beaches Ive ever seen.

Llangollen was very busy on the afternoon of arrival.
Llangollen was very busy on the afternoon of arrival. Some areas are still looking shabby especially some of the original hotels which is a shame ie window frames, doors etc etc, Road works were gone which was a huge improvement from my last visit. Small businesses exist and artisan eateries seem to be doing well. Large mobile home site was full. 20mph a nightmare for locals who are having to adjust to changes in various locations at main roads in from 30 to 40? and 20 to 50 at various stretches, there seems to be little sense in the changes that have been made, New game. spot 30mph??? .

We love Llangollen.
We love Llangollen. It's such a pretty place in the middle of mountains and a fast flowing river. The historical buildings make it so interesting - medieval, Georgian, Victorian - no two buildings look the same. There are plenty of interesting shops, pubs and places to eat. The canal is so pretty too, and very peaceful. You can sit and enjoy a beer or go for a long walk to the falls and see the source of the canal. Highly recommended.
The hotel was situated in a perfect location, beautiful views and a 25-minute walk into Llangollen Town centre along the canal, and a very short walk to horse shoe falls.
The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond for all guests. The restaurant staff and bar staff were lovely and the food was great! We enjoyed our breakfast every morning and our dinner of an evening.
The hotel has a fantastic log burner fire to warm up to after a nice walk! We will be recommending this hotel to family and friends as we did have a pleasant stay!
Beautiful decor, cosy and warm, friendly host who went out of her way to make us welcome. Feels like a 5 start hotel luxury. Soft fluffy towels, complimentary toiletries, everything you need in the kitchen including a welcome hamper. The secret garden is gorgeous with views over the river, also from the bedroom. Smart TVs with Netflix and Prime Video. Lovely country kitchen, comfy bed and sofa. It was a perfect winter get away with lovely walks in and around Llangollen. Lovely places to eat, drink and shop. We'll be returning!
Lovely B&B, conveniently located right down the hill from Llangollen Wharf and across the street from the train station. Our room (Room 3), which was at the back of the building, was amazingly quiet. Very comfy bed, fluffy pillows, beautifully decorated room. Delicious breakfast brought to the room every morning (croissant, fresh berries, yogurt, granola, toast, orange juice, hot drinks). Olivia is a wonderful host--very welcoming and helpful with luggage, local information, etc. A wonderful place to stay!
Brilliant central location, within walking distance of the centre of Llangollen and all amenities. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't use our car which we parked on the road outside the house. Lots of walks to choose from in the local area, all starting within walking distance of the accommodation. The owners left us wine and biscuits on arrival and were in touch with us to see if we had settled in ok and had some recommendations on places to eat with a dog.
Great location, clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. The owners made contact with us via booking.com app and email, check in was easy, there was parking right outside. We will definitely be returning to Llangollen Town House, thank you for a wonderful stay! A refreshing change to be able to book a whole house rather than just a hotel room for twice the price.
The hand hotel is home from home very clean room very comfortable bed nothing was to much trouble for the staff very good location 2 min walk to restaurants cafes & pubs lovely breakfast as well everything was spot on I recommend this hotel to anyone will be returning had a lovely beer garden just across the road which was great & dog friendly aswell
2nd time we’ve visited Llangollen and both times we stayed here. Location is great. Facilities are great. Price is even better. Wi-Fi worked well enough to work remotely and there is a shed for those bike touring like us. Jamie you left such a positive impression, thank you for a great stay!
Beautiful location and lovely, comfortable, and warm cottage. Great communication from the owners as always. Secure garden for the dogs and space to sit and view the river and listen to the birds. Ideal base to experience a range of walks and easy access to Llangollen.
Beautiful and immaculate townhouse in a great location!
Bethan gave us great recommendations for restaurants whilst we were in the area and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend staying here to anybody wanting to visit Llangollen for the weekend!
Lovely welcome. For a B&B the extras in the room were amazing, and better than most hotels I've stayed in. Room was very clean and staff really friendly and helpful. Parking is free and secure and the B&B is so close to everything in Llangollen.
We stayed at this hotel for our trip to Llangollen Santa train (perfect location) Staff were amazing so friendly and helpful. Food was gorgeous too staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. Room was spotless. Will definitely be staying again.
Cambrian House was an excellent value. For a budget hotel, it was was very comfortable and homey, clean and cute. And great shower pressure! Even better, Cath was very welcoming and cheery delight--I think she makes the place!
The location. The hotel. The dining and bar areas. The location is the main draw, just a 10 minute walk into central Llangollen. We paid for breakfast in advance. This was quality, in a really nice dining area.
We had an enjoyable stay. Just a short walk to Llangollen. Our rooms had everything we needed for our 2 night stay, breakfast was nice and plentiful, ample free parking and dog friendly too.
