We liked how clean the rooms were. The on line check in was confusing but we had fun trying to figure it out. I felt like we were trying to get into am escape room. Lol. The area was fun with many adventures and great location by the bar and water.

The common kitchen area was nice. Fun to meet other guests and trade stories. We used the refrigerator and kitchen area for cooking. Worked out well. Rooms were clean and AC worked great! Well lit pathways at night was very appreciated after bio bay tours.

If you have dreamed of having your own private beach...Vieques is for you! Bring everything you need because there are no facilities on the beaches. Very beautiful, but I think Flamenco beach in Culebra is perfection. My fave is Luquillo Balnearion Monserrate...so convenient.

Most of the remote beaches on the east side are closed due to stray bombs. They do not advertise this fact well.
The social climate on Vieques is somewhat hostile. The vendors are dishonest, trying to rip you off. Lots of rude people, drunks and bums. A fistfight and shouting match broke out on our ferry ride. The locals and strays seem to be annoyed by the masses of tourists. The restaurants are a bit expensive.
Overall it's a huge hassle getting to the island and then finding a car/cart. You're probably better off staying on the big island beaches. That being said, it's a beautiful spot and there's some nice snorkeling spots.

We came to see the BioBay.
We came to see the BioBay. It is quite a chore to get over there, so make it worth your while! We ate at Bananas and talked with a few of the locals. Got to see the wild horses that are all around the island. Enjoyed a sunset walk oceanside.

Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities.
Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities. We visited only four beaches on this trip since we spent only one day on Vieques. However, we loved driving across the island on a golf cart and taking in all the scenes. The horses everywhere give it a magical feel, and everyone is so friendly and laid back. Make sure to have cash as many vendors/food trucks don't take cards. The bio bay is INCREDIBLE and should be on everyone's bucket list!!

If you just want to get away and relax Vieques is the place to go. Not a lot to do here, simply enjoy the beaches and relax.
Easy to travel around island. Love all the horses roaming the island.
Ferry easy and safe and inexpensive. Love the bio bay tour of the bioluminescence at night. Real highlight.
Food on island was delicious.
The Inn was clean, quaint and picturesque! The rooms were clean and beds were super comfy. Rooms were Kept cool well lit and quiet. Suzanne the owner is very friendly, informative with loads of island info, very accommodating and thoughtful with good quality hair products, coolers, quick drying beach towels and even beach chairs for guest use. Hotel is decorated so appropriately for an island feel. The cats, Roosters and horses that visit are a sweet plus. Definitely would return and recommend with no reservations what’s so ever!
The best place we stayed in Puerto Rico so far. We were in Room 7 with access to a nice terrace and the room was fantastic. Todd and Amanda were really frendly and helpful. They recommended some cool places to visit, and had a nice chat with us while preparing a generous breakfast. We would have loved to stay for a few more days, since the location was incredible. It was a shame that we were in a rush to catch the ferry. We will definitely return, we 100% recommend this place.
I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful guest house during my recent vacation to the island, and it was an absolute dream. The guest house itself was charming and cozy, with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay.
The location is great, the accommodations are comfortable and well-appointed, and the owners are some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Great Escape was one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed at. The host, Dana, was incredibly kind. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean. The location was PERFECT! It was very quiet, with beautiful views and a short drive to the cutest part of Vieques (Esperanza) and the best beaches! Dana provided breakfast and coffee every morning, and the fridge was always stocked with water and beer.
Lejos exceeded our expectations. We go once a year to Vieques to disconnect and recharge and Lejos will definitely be our go to option for our stay.
Patricia and Phil (the owners) run the property and are great hosts. Patricia’s culinary abilities are top. We loved the breakfast, specially the tortilla española.
They are pet friendly. We were able to travel from puerto rico with our pet. 🙌🏼
The location was great. Among the hotels in town, this one was closest to the center of the city, making walking to breakfast a treat! The room was spacious, we had a gorgeous view of the ocean, and our room next to the ocean-side pool was terrific. They had beach chairs and coolers available for us to use, parking was easy, and they made up our room mid-stay - they offered!
Nice quiet area. The guest rooms are somewhat close to the road but infrequently used by vehicles. Large common area with game room, outdoor tables, and available towels/beach chairs. The location is good for going to either Isabel Segunda or Esperanza, but you need a car or taxi. The kids loved the animals (cats = Batman is friendly, Andrew the peacock, chickens, etc).
The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfast is delicious! The location is perfect in Esperanza and horses walk right up the road nearby. You also get a beautiful view of the ocean from the pool. Hacienda Tamarindo really felt like home for the few days we were on Vieques. A bonus is that with a little golf cart or car, you’re close to all of the beaches!
Skip and Linda were great hosts that accommodated all of our requests, and more! The rooms were spacious and free coffee and fresh mangoes were available everyday. Location is walking distance to all the beachfront restaurants and down the street from a convenience store, so it made our stay without a rental car manageable.
This hotel is beautiful- each room is like its own little cottage.
Tastefully decorated, and nicely spread out
Beautiful grounds and beach, which we were able to enjoy before check in, which was lovely
Restaurant on site was amazing- the best breakfast we had on our whole vacation ( dinner was really good too)
Wonderful staff! Clean and comfortable. Perfect location. Short walk to wonderful secluded beachs for lounging and snorkeling. Black sand beach a 15 min walk away. 5 min walk to the malecon of Esperanza.
Provided a light breakfast with puerto rican coffee, beach towels, chairs, coolers, snorkeling equipment.
The tents were quite spacious. Proper washrooms and clean showers, as they are attached to the backside of the host's residence. The host was quite helpful and also showed us around the island before dropping us at the ferry terminal.
The staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. The guesthouse is 10-15min walking from the malecon of Esperanza.
The shower outside is very convenient after a day at the beach and before leaving the island.
The view, tranquility and the pool. Service was great with all personnel and special thanks to Evelyn Maldonado for her orientation and full service aroun the hotel and Vieques. Also mention Rosa as exelent service.
The property sits on a hill, on the island of Vieques, with outstanding views. The owners made it feel more like staying with friends and or family. Perfect spot to go and unplug and enjoy Vieques!
