You can see most of Loch Pooltiel up to the open sea while lying in bed... wonderful! The tiny cottage offers all the comfort a pair needs for a stay. We had it cozy and warm, while nothern winds howled around the edges of our small retreat. The bed was good and the shower was the best we had on our round trip so far. It saved us that Karen left everything prepared. We arrived very late due to the fact that we were doing a roadtrip directly from Edimburgh with little stops, and the time was flying. We contacted Karen through booking itself, and she replied very quickly and very warmly, and she told us that it was okay, that she prepared the heating for us, and also placed some delicious muffins and scones, as well as milk and jam, which we tried at our arrival after arriving tired and hungry. We found the cabins without problems. We could park next to the cabin. The beds were very confortable and the shower it's great and very warm. Also the cabin is equipped with everything you might need to prepare yourself some meals. We bought some eggs (they sell them) and we prepared delicious omelettes with them. Also you can ask for breakfast which will be delivered the next morning to your cabin and Karen will leave it at the door, which is again, very convenient, and the prices are great. We deffinitely need to come back to see the ducklings grown up!

An old hunting lodge/country house about 5 miles from the main town Portree. Well furnished with classic wood panelled breakfast room and modern conservatory restaurant with extensive views over the loch. Luxurious room. Nice walk to local island with ancient ruined chapel. Very friendly staff-especially Sue in the breakfast room who was so helpful. An excellent stay celebrating a special anniversary
We loved the layout of the cottage and the cosy fireplace. The owners were very quick to respond when we needed help.
The most stunning place to stay (if it ever goes up for sale we would love to buy it)! Totally secluded but not too far into the village for essentials. All the rooms were beautifully appointed, with the kitchen having everything you could possibly need during an extended stay. The fireplace made the cottage so cozy, and we really enjoyed sitting in and watching the wild weather outside.
It is a lovely, charming, idyllic cottage with spacious and clean rooms. The space was adequate for our group of 5 people
Cosy and charming little cottage. Great view and location. Working fireplaces. Excellent kitchen. Comfortable mattress. Awesome outdoor area and lots of wildlife to spot (resident otter, birds and across the loch some deer). Quiet and away from the crowds. Looks better than the photos suggest. Helpful host.
The little cabin was perfectly equipped, cosy and romantic under the stars! It is in the perfect location to travel back to mainland Scotland by ferry, about 10 minutes away. We would recommend 100% and would love to return next time we visit this beautiful area of Skye.
Renatta the host was wonderful. The location was secluded and quiet with a wonderful view of the loch on a farm. The cottage was very cozy with fireplace and all necessary appliances. Rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. I can't express how wonderful Renatta was. She lives on the property and readily available to answer any questions or attend to any needs we had, such as linens and such when we needed it. She was truly a delight and I highly recommend a stay here.
Lovely location looking over harbor. Restored, cozy, beautiful old house above charity shop. Comfy beds, quality linen & toiletries. Fully stocked fireplace. TV, WIFI, washer and dryer. Nice breakfast supplies, coffee & tea, oatmeal, 2 kinds of milk, OJ and bottle of wine.
Lovely property in a charming, idyllic spot and great for family. Large but cosy living area with Log burner (Highlight was the highly geeky thermoelectric fan on top of the log burner) Very tasteful decoration and fittings. Comfortable beds and sofas. Thoughtful extra touches everywhere to make your stay comfortable and memorable. It is clearly evident that the owners have gone the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
