Breakfast was lovely a bit chaotic on our last day our breakfast was a little cold and took a while the staff looked rushed off their feet but the whole experience was fantastic. Lovely room , staff , and great location.

The staff were very courteous and the shuttle service by the hotel was a plus. There isn’t much to do on the island of molino and there are no shops near the hotel. The room was very small and in my view not very clean for Hilton standard. We met a straw on the floor in our room and it looked like the room hadn’t been hoovered.

Bad weather spoiled the magic.
Apart from that, Venice is an unique engineering wonder and major artworks display wherever you'd go.
We've visited places we haven't seen before, so we only marginally touched on the San Marco's Basilica and the Doges' Palace.
Ca' d'Oro, Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, Palazzo Grimani, and so on.
Getting around Venice is reasonably convenient considering the given site limitations. The vaporetto's schedule is as reliable as any subway's.
The rest of the central area can be covered easily by foot.
The only thing we would avoid, next time, would be a bad weather forecast.

Travelled in April, was 21 degrees and not too busy.
Travelled in April, was 21 degrees and not too busy.
We didn't book anything in terms of sites and found it easy to get into sites we wanted to e.g. Palazzo Ducale (think also call Doge's Palace) went first thing and waited 10 mins. As part of this you go over the bridge of sighs. When we got out the Tower did have a queue so we waited until later that day to go up tower as we ended up back there anyway.
We found just walking around Venice was great - we went to see an old book shop and the narrowest street in Venice.
We also went over the Accademia Bridge.
We watched a lot of YouTube to see what we wanted. We got a bit distracted trying to find some eating places recommended but we ended up just eating where we felt hungry, didn't feel it was over expensive (compared to UK).
On our second day we got the water bus to Burano and Murano. We loved Burano, just walking around and the houses and vibe was just great. Murano, obviously bought a vase and was great to see.
We used the opportunity coming back since bought a day ticket for the water bus to just go on a bus round trip which was interesting.
Last day just wandered and saw the Rialto Bridge. I did go to the Leonardo Da Vinci museum, it was really small and felt a bit overpriced. However if you have children there was some interactive things they could do. Also showed some of his inventions which was interesting but was only in there for about 15 mins.
There are a lot of bridges (obviously), but didn't realise how many till got there.
It has amazing architecture and a lovely place, just be prepared to walk loads and if coming from the airport the water bus there is different from the one's you take in Venice. We found the people really nice and it is always recommended to speak some of their language even to say Grazie.

Venice is just fabulous. It is odd, It is wonderful. We never had a bad meal. You get lost and find a fabulous view or square. There are dead ends you go down and go WOW!! No spoilers - but avoid the hot months when it is crowded and too hot ad can be smelly. We went at the end of April going into May and it was getting hot at the end and the crowds were building up. Just enjoy it and eat at or before 7.00,

I don’t recommend going to Venice if you’re a person of colour, especially black. Many locals treat you with disgust and blatantly ignore or refuse to help you. There are none stop dirty looks and frowning, some ignore you, some push you out of the way, loads refuse to help you with simple questions like directions, others refuse to sit next to you. Airport staff purposely make you late for flights. If you do visit learn some basic words so you can understand some things, like when they’re sniggering about you in the Uber. One Uber driver mocked me in the car on the phone. Won’t be going back again.

Venice is exciting, brimming with culture, and like no other cities, the prices are in general reasonable, and people are friendly and helpful.
However, in order to have a good stay, you have to take the following into account:
The city was crowded already in April. I would not go in the summer, and avoid the weekends for a shorter stay.
It can be colder and more windy than you think. Bring some warm wind- and waterproof clothing,
Be prepared to walk a lot, otherwise it is difficult to see the things you want to. We typically walked about 7 km a day. Even if there are some signs of directions, Venice is labyrinthine. I used google maps, a high resolution paper map and sometimes a compass, and even got lost a few times. However, it also meant we found a place with wonderful italian ice we returned to several times.

Exceptionally busy and expensive.
Exceptionally busy and expensive.
Food was nice but pricey as I said.
You need to have good mobility as although it is flat there are alot of bridges and ever such alot of steps, some of which are steep.
It was a nice size for a family of 4 in a very convenient location in Venice. There was a supermarket (Coop)very nearby. Lucia was excellent at communicating with us and gave us helpful directions and suggestions for places around Venice. This apartment was a great place to stay. Our family enjoyed it very much. The kitchen supplies and washing machine were helpful.
A note: set up a WhatsApp acct. to communicate with properties in Italy bc booking.com doesn’t seem to be a reliable way to communicate.
Great location close to bars, a little grocery store and a vaporetto stop yet quiet. Wonderful if you keep the windows open at night, you get wafts of the bakery behind the hotel as well. The check in girl (Sara I think) was so nice and helpful with information too.
We loved all the little snacks upon arrival and shampoos provided! Not all of our stays in Italy gave us this, and we were really happy to have something to snack on/drink when we arrived after a day of travel
Our room was enormous! We were in the annex of the hotel because we booked the room only a few days in advance. The breakfast was the best one we had in Italy, The view from the balcony located in the dining room was beyond breathtaking. My husband and I had a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. It was so emotionally moving, I began weeping at the majestic beauty of the canal. My husband in reaction, booked us another week in Venice.
Very friendly couple host. Nice and clean room, great shower. Best breakfast selection we had in Italy with meats and cheese, cereal, biscuits and fruit to hand. Gave us tips about travelling in Venice which was nice. Perfect location 1 min walk to tram stop and shops and restaurants close by. Tram takes you centre of Venice within 20 mins or so. Hosts let us keep our bags there after check out which was nice as we had a late evening flight.
It is a small, adorable hotel in quiet neighborhood, with garden, which is very rare in Venice. Staff was great and super friendly. Room very clean, with great view, bathroom well equiped and spacious. Very comfortable bed in bedroom. Breakfast was standard for Italy - only sweets (jam, honey, jugurt, croissant, toasts etc), no vegetables or fruits. Coffee was delicious. Breakfast served nicely to the table in the garden, great option!
The breakfast was the best one we had in italy , it is carried up in baskets together with juice coffee and fresh warm croissants and bread ! Amazing. Totally did not expect that at all. The staff is also extremely kind to us. We were allowed to stow our bag in the hotel so we could explore easier the last day. Which helped so much since venice is full of stairs and carrying bags can be troublesome. The bed was very soft as well.
Our favorite apt from our trip to Italy. Great quiet, safe, location walking distance to all the sites. Full apartment with traditional furnishings, ac in each room, full kitchen and laundry facilities. We loved it and felt like we were temporary residents of Venice instead of tourists. Helpful host with clear instructions for entering apartment. Safe area with restaurants nearby and convenient to water busses.
The location was great! Close to St Mark's, lots of shops and places to eat! We even had a view of a canal and could see gondolas go by. The room was very nice and the bed was quite comfortable. The room was a nice size compared to other places we have stayed during our trip through Italy. It was also very clean! I highly recommend it
! If we ever get back Venice, we will stay there again!
Room was STUNNING, Vanessa at front desk was beyond helpful and set up a great trip to Murano for us, breakfast was incredible and Jean Marco was so attentive and even went so far as to pack us up some croissants when we had to rush to eat to make it to an early tour. Our 3 week trip consisted of 5 stops in Italy and 3 in Greece and this was by far our favorite hotel, thank you!
The hotel is in the heart of Venice easily accessible by vaporetto. The room was spacious and overlooked the roofs. The best view of a small canal was from the bathroom window. The breakfast was overall good, but lacked some vegetables and the coffee could be better, especially as it is Italy. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
This was our favourite place in all of Italy!! We adored our stay in Venice mostly because of our stay here at Allá Corte Rossa. The room was perfect, the view was perfect, staff were lovely and the breakfast was amazing. We could have sat and enjoyed the view all day long and we near enough did! With a gorgeous Italian bottle of wine!
The place is one of the best boutique hotels I have seen. Decoration was impecable, location out of the crowded area. Caterina and Roberto were amazing helping with everything. I have been several times in Venice and this is one of those lovely places that make you fall in love with the city.
The best stay of our trip to Italy! Beautiful, extremely charming hotel right on the grand canal with a terrace over looking the Rialto bridge. Easy to walk to everything but also away from crowds. The owners and staff were incredibly gracious and attentive. Simply the best!!!
amazing staff, delicious breakfast, great value for money, nice neighborhood away from the crowds of venice. very traditional feel with lots of personal touches from the staff, who are so warm and welcoming. best hospitality of anywhere i've stayed in italy :)
This was a last minute booking due to the air traffic strike in Italy, so I was really surprised how lovely and clean these suites were and in a brilliant location on a little canal in Venice,.with the gondalas going past I would definitely use these again .,
Fantastic location in Venice, my favourite hotel out of our 2 weeks in italy. Really big space with perfect air con. Loved the location for exploring Venice.
Staff were very friendly and thought the price was super for a touristy spot in August. Fab!
The room is very sweet and cute, and I like it very much. The host is so kind to tell me all the apparatus of the room and give me a map for take a round at Venice. It is the best room that I stay in Italy.
When looking for a splendid top hotel in Venice, the Bauer is best, real 5 star services at a price lower than the other 5 star services. Servicing and personal is top.
everything! great location, great, helpful and friendly staff,
very lovely hotel, room was wonderful. breakfast was delicious, the best breakfast we had in Italy.
