Det nyrenoverade, 4-stjärniga Hotel Baia Azul har ett idealiskt läge, 4-minuters promenad från stranden i Funchal. Superbra läge. Restauranger och dagligvaror inom gångavstånd. Allt som man behöver till frokost och fin utsikt från restaurang. Ägg i massa varianter och små wienerbröd m.m. Mousserande vin om man vill göra mimosa är ju ganska nice!

Det 4-stjärniga Hotel Alto Lido renoverades 2018 och ligger i Funchals främsta område Lido, 2,5 km från stadens centrum. The hotel is excellent and good price! The breakfast is more than you could imagine or able to eat. Super clean and modern! Definitely recommend!

Detta hotell är en del av semesteranläggningen Vila Porto Mare och har 4 restauranger, 6 barer och 5 pooler. Porto Mare har en stor tropisk trädgård vid Atlanten. Great hotel, friendly staff and good food. Pools are are great and the gardens beautiful. Very nice experience provided.

The Cliff Bay ligger högt på en vacker halvö och erbjuder panoramautsikt över Atlanten samt privat tillträde till stranden. Amazing! Everything perfect, as always! My favorite place on earth!!

Vila Vicência ligger i Funchal, inom 7 minuters promenad från Praia do Gorgulho-Gavinas och 2,9 km från Praia Formosa, och erbjuder boende med en bar och gratis WiFi. Great location and staff, they are super friendly! If we come back to Funchal, we definitely are staying there again!

Set within a leafy garden, this hotel boasts an outdoor pool overlooking Funchal coastal cliffs. Pestana Vila Lido Madeira Ocean Hotel‘s studios are spacious and decorated with soft beige colours. The staff was really friendly, location is great, as hotel is right by the ocean. In the evening the sound od waves is the only thin one hears. Self service buffet breakfast was great, there is a lot of choises. When weather was good, you can eat on the terrace. And semi circular room gives beautiful views of the ocean and cliffs near Funchal. Would come again!

Considering it is a 5 star hotel, it is great value for money and the stay and room was five stars all the way. The service and staff are beyond my expectations. I had just completed my 8 day solo walk around the island and asked if it was possible to have a quieter room away from the road (I booked a lateral sea view room with a balcony, which is also excellent itself). Carla at reception was very helpful and found me another room, an unexpected upgrade, with a larger balcony and direct sea view. I also appreciated her sincere recommendation for dinner, specifically "no touristy restaurants please". I listened and had a seafood platter at PVP - Pão, Vinho e Petiscos, opposite the hotel, and it was the best I have had in a long time! My picnic (on the day I couldn't have breakfast), taxis and room changes were all efficiently organised and carried out. Unfortunately, while I was there, the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment due to damage caused by the bad weather, and I think part of the restaurant overlooking the pool was closed, as was the indoor pool. I imagine it would be an even better experience if these areas were not closed. However, we were given plenty of notice of the refurbishment before we checked in. As a substitute, the hotel did well to liaise with the neighbouring hotel to allow us to use their indoor pool. Overall a great stay and only regret is, I could not extend my stay as the hotel was fully booked on my last night in Funchal.

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient good location near the city center. The staff is very responsive and polite. A huge advantage of the hotel is that it has its own free underground parking for clients. There is quite a wide variety for breakfast, although not extremely large, but everything is very tasty and fresh. Coffee is from large coffee machines, but, as I understand it, from coffee beans, since coffee takes quite a long time to make, but it turns out very tasty, aromatic and excellent.

Det nyrenoverade Allegro Madeira ligger i Lido, bara 5 minuters promenad från Funchals strandpromenad. The view was so beautiful and the pool was lovely. It was in the best location to stroll the waterfront shops and easy access to walk to the old town or hop a bus.
