This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. Having spent 5 wonderful days at the ARTS IN hotel, we can confidently recommend it. Thank you for the delicious breakfasts, cozy room overlooking the garden and the ocean, caring staff. The hotel has a very convenient location to various interesting places on the island, free private parking, high-quality WiFi, fragrant white towels and bed linen. Thank you for a great time! Ps. Located on the Funchal seafront, this hotel offers panoramic views over the Atlantic. It provides rooms with kitchenettes and balconies, 2 pools and a spa centre with spa bath and sauna. Hotel Porto Santa Maria is a very well-thought-out and comfortable adult only hotel. The location is perfect in Funchal - at the beach, next to the Monte Funicular, adjacent to the old town, near many restaurants, within walking distance to the new part of town. The rooms are spacious and have kitchenette facilities. There was music entertainment every night. Breakfast was plentiful. Above all, the staff were amazing. We highly recommend staying at Porto Santa Maria. One more plus: there is a parking garage if you have a rental car - no extra charge.

Hostess was friendly & provided a variety of activities & restaurants in Funchal. Her suite was very clean & comfortable, beautiful bed linens/pillows along with a microwave& coffee maker. Alexia room was a perfect for a short stay & the neighbourhood was easy to navigate once you got used to the hills of Funchal. Great place for solo travellers.

Sarah was a super friendly host who welcomed me in the apartment and gave all kinds of tips about Funchal and the area. The apartment was very clean, spacious and had a comfy bed and a really good shower. The parking below the apartments is a big advantage. Location is perfect, it´s a short walk to the restaurants and city centre. I didn´t use the pool or roof terrace that much, but it has an amazing view and definitely great to have on the hot summer days.

We simply loved it and it way exceeded our expectation The view was spectacular und having a glas of wine, sitting on the balcony and watching the cruise ships from a distance is just holiday. The apartment is very well equipped, even coffee capsules, water, fruits and delicious bred has been waiting for us. But for us most strikingly was the warm hospitality of Andrea and Alex, the siblings running the apartment house. You feel so welcome and we were so greatly taken care of.Thank you😊

We had an amazing stay at this comfortable apartment! Central location to the market across the street and grocery stores and bus and the waterfront promenade. It felt like we were locals going to the grocery store and taking the bus, not like tourists! The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need! We loved it! Jose was a wonderful host and he was in touch with us from the moment we landed at the airport and any time we had a question he was quick to answer all of our questions! We didn't have a problem with noise from the market early morning but we always travel with a white noise machine so we didn't hear anything. We found the bed super comfortable. We were there for almost 2 weeks and cannot wait to go back to Madeira and hope that Jose's apartment is available when we do!! Thank you so much Jose!!
