Wanderers Rest on Kangaroo Island is a small seaside guest house. The beautiful venue has come into new management, a small family run business. The three star facility focuses on customer satisfaction while ensuring hospitable and personable service.

The place and hosts are AMAZING. True professionals of hospitality: very warm and kind people, everything they prepared was first-class or better. The place is clean and cozy, place in a nice location between Kingscote and Pennshaw (American River). There are koalas walking around! They managed to heat the room very creatively by inserting heating lights in the bathroom. There is a view of the ocean from the window, the room is very well equipped, and they even put umbrellas in the closet. The breakfast was outstanding: delicious, and the hosts did their best to listen to us and satisfy are - demanding! - requests. They were very helpful and suggested nice trips which we indeed did and were very satisfied with.

The decor in the Anchorage was quirky and colourful. The property was well equipped and in a good location. I would definitely stay there again as I thought it was reasonably priced and value for money. Kangaroo Island is always a magnificent place to visit.

When we arrived we were shown one of the most warm and heartfelt welcomes we ever experienced! The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast/common area wonderfully styled. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool area, but it did look inviting neveretheless.
