As well as being quiet (with some interesting bird calls audible in the early morning) and comfortable, it had a very usable kitchen, good wifi, easy parking, helpful staff/owners, great shower (and super-hot), laundry facilities, and was only a short (10min) walk to town.

The rooms were huge with a small kitchenette, access to laundry in the hotel and the pool / hot tub area was fabulous. Easy access to the lake beside the hotel and a fabulous walk along the lake also.

At The Village Resort each room has a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. The rooms are fabulous and very spacious. It’s more like a home than a hotel. They have everything you need, kitchen. laundry and tea. This is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I highly recommend.
