Situated in a quiet location off the main highway in National Park Village, Adventure Lodge and Motel is family-run accommodation offering free unlimited Wi-Fi access and a comfortable guest lounge... Everything was fantastic, they were very kind and collaborative in changing both the days of stay and the date of the shuttle to Tongariro Crossing due to bad weather. Situated only 10 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune and with beautiful views of Mt Ruapehu from most rooms, Ohakune Court Motel offers accommodation with an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen cable... This was one of the cheaper places we stayed so our expectations weren't high. But there was nothing major I could fault on our stay, being the owners were friendly, helpful and also easy to find. Kitchen had all the gear to cook our meals, shower was good and the hot tub in the courtyard was perfect at the end of the day.

Tongariro Springs Boutique Suites is located in Tongariro National Park. The room was very comfortable, but could have used a rug or mat at the inside of the doorway to help keep the muck from our shoes coming into the room (it was so rainy while we were there, we weren’t comfortable leaving them outside). Really appreciated the drying room. If we come back to the park, we would probably try to stay here again.

The Hobbit Motorlodge offers a hot tub and free unlimited WiFi. It is a 50-minute drive from the Tongariro Crossing, and the property can arrange for a drop-off service at a charge. The spar, and didn't mind us celebrating New years Eve. Also, staff were very helpful. Price very cheap.
