Set in Simmerath, 37 km from Aachen Central Station, JUULS - Natur Hotel Garni offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Breakfast was very good, a lot of choices and local products and fruits. Possibility to pack lunch for when you are hiking, biking, etc. Free coffee and tea during the day. Very welcoming and friendly host. Location is also excellent, the hiking routes start right in front of the hotel.

Haus Stehlings features views of the Old Town of Monschau. The guest house provides guests with free WiFi and is located a 1 hour drive from Cologne. Spacious apartment on the top floor of a very old building in the heart of historic Monschau (spoiler: no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up some very uneven old staircase - living in history has its downsides for some, not for us). Good explanation of check-in procedure, everything in this town is only a few footsteps away. Another spoiler: you have to park in a parking garage about 250 m away from the property, but back then they did not build for cars in the heart of a city. Monschau itself is as beautiful as shown on the pictures - well preserved buildings, but modern inside. No kitchen, as that might cause problems with fire safety, but a fridge, water cooker and coffee maker. And "Printen" (a local and very good specialty) as a nice welcome on the beds.

The staff was soo friendly and helpful. They made the check in very easy. They showed us personally to our suite and gave us directions and recommendations of where to eat and sightsee. The room was clean, beautiful, and very comfortable. It truly exceeded out expectations.

Nice room and friendly staff. Very good breakfast (extra 10 euros). Fine restaurant. Check-in and check-out times are very favorable. I'm looking forward to visit again!

Set in Prüm, 47 km from Vianden Chairlift, Hofgut Held offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. It was very nice inside and out. Hostess was very attentive. The bathroom had a rain showerhead and was bigger than my master bathroom. The room was really big and has a kitchen also. I just wished I could have stayed longer.

Fast Lane Hotel is set in Barweiler, 45 km from Bonn and 49 km from Monschau. Each room comes with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. All rooms have a private bathroom. The beds, pillows and duvets were SO COMFORTABLE! We've stayed in a lot of hotels etc but these beds were the most comfortable by far. The surroundings were really nice and quiet. Black out blinds to block out the sun when sleeping.

Great style, very clean and close to the track. Staff was nice and check-in/check-out was flawless and quick. Can highly recommend it and will return next time.
