You are going to want to book a mid level hotel in udon thani but I think you should spend a couple of extra bucks and treat yourself to Deprincess. It was LUXURY. The bed and bedding was incredibly soft. I paid extra for a bathtub with no regrets. There were bathbombs for sale at reception. Every detail was carefully planned and I am so grateful for the kindness of the front desk staff. Breakfast buffet was huge with many options. Everything was clean and delicious and amazing. 10/10 worth every penny. I had been traveling for many months and this restored and renewed me in a way other hotels were not able to.

Located in Udon Thani, 1.8 km from Bus station 1, VELA Dhi Udon Thani provides accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. We didn't know what to expect from the Vela Dhi or Udon Thani. The hotel is spotlessly clean and we had a lovely bright but cool room with a great shower and comfy bed. The breakfast had a lot of choices and it was pleasant to sit outside with a drink in the evenings. All the staff were amazing - friendly, professional and helpful. Particular thanks to James who was our driver for the Red Lotus Lake. Udon Thani itself is a really lovely city and feels very young with lots of coffee bars etc. The food offering is amazing - download the Michelin app if you're going there. Our favourite of the Isan cities. We'll be back and staying at the Vela Dhi.
