The owner and son were incredible people. Very caring, inquisitive, and helpful. Set in a beautiful hillside 15min walk from the center of Ella. Perfect for the price and if you don't mind walking it can't be beat. She even made me a take away bag of breakfast for the train ride. Thank you!

The owner and the staff of this property exceeded my expectations. This place is 15-20 mins away from the railway station so don't let it set you off because the owner was very helpful to drop us to the city of ella where it's very happening. The street is very happening and multiple choices of restaurant. The owner was very kind to arrange us a scooty one of my best rides between the mountains. Highly recommend to ride to the The chef is a sweetheart if you request him for more food he brings it. The view from the balcony is just breathtaking and the balcony space is pretty decent. Also the bathroom is really spacious and the warm water flows decently. There fore the breakfast provided by this property is a bang for the buck. The quantity and the quality has exceeded my expectations. I would high recommend this place when visiting Ella.

This place is amazing! The hosts are absolutely marvellous, they were so kind, and they gave us great tips for things to do in Ella: - a great cooking class at a guesthouse nearby - wonderful walk to Ella Rock starting right next to the guesthouse - a taxi to Yala at a really great price (first taxi we took in Sri Lanka since we did everything by bus previously) - a day trip to Haputale so we could take the famous train, but only the best part (we missed it in Kandy) The bed is amazing, the surroundings a green haven of peace, at least when it’s not the weekend or a holiday, it’s hard to find quiet in Sri Lanka during those days 😅 We could see lot’s of giant squirrels from our deck, and one morning we woke up by monkeys jumping on the roof 😊 The included breakfast was abundant and different everyday (we stayed 3 nights). After two weeks of traveling in Sri Lanka, we are confident to say that this was our favourite place.

The location is perfect, 7 min. walk from train station but far enough from the center(noise).. Super nice owners, huge and tasty breakfast, very good WiFi and a beautiful terrace in front of the room.

The host was incredibly helpful and respectful, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious and spotless, with clean linen and towels provided for both of us. We also appreciated the small touches like complimentary soap, toothpaste, toothpicks, and cotton buds. In addition to these amenities, the room also had a small fridge/freezer, electric kettle, cups to make tea or coffee and a hairdryer which came in handy during our stay. The breakfast served at the resort was delicious and offered a great start to the day. Additionally, the location was perfect just a short 10 minute walk to Ella town. This made it easy for us to explore the area and access nearby attractions. Overall, I highly recommend The Dream Resort for the people/couples visiting Ella. The exceptional hospitality, cleanliness, convenient location, and additional amenities such as the fridge/freezer and hairdryer make it a standout choice. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
