I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mirissa Reef Serenity and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the host, David, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. His warm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease, and we knew we were in for a fantastic stay. The hotel itself is relatively new, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into every detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The quality of the bathrooms was particularly impressive, with modern fixtures and luxurious amenities. The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable, especially for those who love surfing. Situated in front of a reef, it's perfect for advanced surfers looking for a challenge. Additionally, there is a stunning snorkeling spot just a short walk down the beach, where you can explore the vibrant marine life to your heart's content. One thing to note is that while the hotel is in front of the reef, you can't swim directly in front of the property. You'll need to walk a bit further down the beach and navigate some rocks, so I would recommend bringing water shoes for added comfort. The energy at Mirissa Reef Serenity is truly special, and a large part of that is thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. In fact, they were the friendliest staff we encountered during our entire two-week trip. David, who is French, brings a touch of Western style to the breakfast offerings, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We visited the hotel with our six-year-old son, and it was a hit with the whole family. We had a fantastic time spotting wild animals in the reef and during our snorkeling adventures. Overall, our stay at Mirissa Reef Serenity was nothing short of perfect. From the welcoming atmosphere to the beautiful surroundings, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

My best accommodation in Mirissa! 2 min walk to the beach, 2 min walk to the main street. Clean and comfortable. Very nice owners!

If you ever want to stay in Mirissa, this authentic hotel is the perfect option. All the necessary facilities are provided in the common areas, even washing machines and a microwave. The rooms are new, nicely and painstakingly decorated, with a perfect balcony overlooking the river side. So you can laid back at the evening and enjoy the nature. The owner of this place is the nicest guy. The commute to the beach area is not complicated or long at all. It's not a drudgery because you constantly enjoy peacocks, storks and other promiscuous animals around. The owner can help you rent a scooter and you can park it under the canopy. This place helps you to unfold the true unimaginable vacation in Sri Lanka, and I will remember it vividly.

The braveresort is a lovely homestay offering 4 rooms, which are very clean and well looked after. The AC worked well, so did the wifi. We were welcomed with welcome drinks by the host, who is a kind and helpful person. We enjoyed chatting with him, listening to insights about life in Sri Lanka. We especially are grateful to him for arranging a scooter rental for us, which is quite a challenge right now. He also drove us to our next destination himself with his tuk tuk for a reasonable price. For breakfast, he made Mango lassis everyday which are to die for (thankfully he shared the recipe with us).He changes up the breakfast every day: omelette, pancakes, toast,… The location is perfect: a bit away from the noisy mainroad, but close enough to reach restaurants and bars by foot. We enjoyed our stay very much and can’t recommend staying here more!

Good balcony, relaxing view, clean and fresh room with ceiling fan, proactive friendly host. The location as already mentioned by many others is very convenient.

We felt very comfortable :). Location is good. The room and bathroom have a good size, mattress/pillos are comfy, AC and fan work well and there is a small kitchen.

Cozy calm place with helpful local family owners, quiet garden and peacocks in the coconut palms. Breakfast is quite basic, but it is always hard to feed hungry surfer. Definitely recommend this place!

I really enjoyed stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean.pool was nice and very conscious . The staff was always there and very conscious. I would like to visit mirissa again.!!

Amazing place right next to the beach with very friendly service and good food. The breakfast buffet is great, I like to combine Sri Lankan and European cuisine. The room was spacious and clean

Huge cabana style suites just a 5 minute walk from the beach, yet very quiet. A/C worked well and quietly.
