The area on which the apartments/houses were built is incredible. Sourrounded by nature, with a perfect view of the two gigantic rocks that every tourist wants to see anyway during their stay. It's quite, you hear nothing but nature which is amazing especially when you just came from a bigger city. All in all, the facilities are modern, clean and everything you would expect from a high level hotel like this. However, what you would probably not expect, is one of the nicest hosts both my friend and I have met during many stays over the last weeks of travelling. We felt welcome the second we arrived and when asking how long the pool is open, the answer was "Don't worry, you're home.". I think that pretty much sums it up. Kalika and Preethika, the hosts and owners, made us feel like a member of a family, and they helped us planning some amazing trips (booking tuck tucks to the rocks at 5am in the morning, a safari to the elephants, a cab to a nearby temple,...). I don't know if I could expecty anything more from a stay, and the both of them were responsible not only for a great stay from dinner to breakfast, but also for everything in between. I strongly recommend staying at this property and speaking with the owners Kalika and Preethika, they are insporing, welcoming, humorous and caring people. What also makes this place special is the fact that every single one working at the property is genuinely friendly, we had many nice conversations with staff at the restaurant. People were sincerely interested not only in our plans but also in showing what the Sri Lankan cuisine has to offer. Speaking of which: Try Sri Lankan breakfast and curry rice for dinner. This is a very special lodging option that stands out from the crowd. You are really in nature. When checking in, the owner showed us an elephant footprint just next to our hut. One morning we saw a hornbill on the adjacent balcony. View from the balcony to Sigiriya Rock is amazing. Room is quite spacious for us to open three suitcases at the same time. There are mosquito nets on some of the windows to keep them open during the night. We were welcomed in style with tea and palm sugar based sweet. Chena Huts was the only place where we received such welcome. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful. Each room has stairs to go up to, the owner helped to bring our luggages to the room. They can also book elephant safaris, however they are conscious about conflict of interests with driver companies organizing a full tour. Make sure to clarify what is agreed and not agreed as part of your driver contract.

The view is outstanding. The hotel reception is perched on top of stairs with breathtaking view of the rock. The swimming pool also has an amazing view. Loved the vibe of the hotel, the room was very nice (nicer than i expected from the pictures!). The staff was very nice. We had buffet dinner and buffet breakfast and were very satisfied. The location is good, close enough to the rock to do it at sunrise then come back to the hotel to enjoy a nice breakfast.

This hotel was absolutely exquisite, rooms are nestled away at the forest edge. The staff are super helpful and the food was next level. The facilities are stunning. The only thing to note it’s about 7-8km from sigiriya but the hotel does offer shuttle services at a minimal fee. Definitely a must stay!

We absolutely loved the hospitality of the hosts.The pool is huge.The garden is beautiful and so was the room where we stayed. We stayed 2 days and enjoyed the delicious breakfast both days.Staff is attentive and very helpful. Highly recommend.
