A very beautiful and quiet place with a nice, white sandy beach. The garden looks amazing, just like the beach. There aren't too many people, so you can enjoy swimming in the ocean without being disturbed. The pools are nice too, and there's also a small but useful outdoor gym. This place definitely is one of our favourites in the whole island.

The resort is a wonderful big open space with a lot of areas to chill and relax. Excellent food and lovely staff. Gemma the owner is very nice and always there if you need her. We stayed in the sunset suite which was absolutely amazing as we slept in the open under a mosquito net. The people of the adjacent village are very friendly and the sunsets are beautiful. Outstanding hosts at Mandarin, feels just like home! We had a pleasant 2-nights stay and it was total relaxation for us. The ambience was great, very clean, all the staff were great, Chef Amir made the best of dishes (breakfast was also top notch) and extra stars for the GM Mr. Hany! There are different activities at Mandarin but unfortunately, we were only there to basically eat, sleep and enjoy the beach though I am sure they would be just as great. If you are looking for a great affordable place in Zanzibar then Mandarin Resort it is!
