The location is fantastic. It’s in the heart of the historic center, walking distance to all the sights in the city. The room was reasonably quiet considering the location. There was a bit of street noise but nothing too bad. We enjoyed the balcony with lovely views over the city and the original artwork that adorned all of the walls! I would definitely recommend La Maison del Sole for a stay in Palermo.

The property is 50 metres from the Alibus airport shuttle bus stop. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 4 km away. The location was a short walk to the main piazza, Piazza Del Duomo, the Fish Market, and Via Etnea (main shopping street). Also the Alibus to the airport was a block away. The breakfast was excellent, typical Sicilian breakfast of breads and sweets, with the addition of requesting eggs. Good coffee. Check-in was easy and the hosts were very helpful and friendly.
