The hotel is in the centre of the city with a lot of (tapas) bars and restaurants around. It's more a business hotel i.e. not boutique. It has a great breakfast for a good price. The public garage closed nearby is a 10 min walk

Beautiful courtyard setting in the centre of town.
Almería lies on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusía, overlooked by the old Moorish citadel or ‘Alcazaba’. It offers sandy beaches, rocky coves, clear waters, and the typical friendliness of southern Spain. Its urban pattern blends Moorish legacy, medieval buildings, modern architecture, and colourful narrow streets.
It was founded in the mid-10th century by the Caliph of Cordoba, and was named ‘Al-Mariy-yat’ or ‘the watchtower’, as it was part of the coastal defences of the Caliphate. After internal divisions in the Caliphate and Christian crusades, the city finally surrendered to the Catholic monarchs a few years before the first trip of Columbus. A range of hotels in Almeria’s city centre will allow you to enjoy this magic atmosphere from a close distance.
The Cathedral of St Mary of the Incarnation was originally a mosque, and was built resembling a fortress, in order to offer resistance to pirates. The nearby Gata-Nijar Cape Natural Park offers beautiful landscapes and beaches. Hotels on Almeria’s beaches are a popular choice, while a variety of accommodation is also available in the surrounding villages of Roquetas de Mar, Aguadulce, and San José.
The city is serviced by Almería Airport, a local railway station, and a bus station. Ferry services to Tunis and the Spanish enclave of Melilla are also available.

We absolutly loved Almeria.
We absolutly loved Almeria. Our trip was a spur of the moment , an extra day as on our way to Granada. We could have stayed longer and given we live relatively close by we will definitely be back. Very friendly and helpful staff at this hotel.
Had the best meal ever since we moved to Spain on the recommendation of a local in a bar on the street. It was very late in the evening but the restaurant accomodated us. La Concierta you did very well.
We spent the next day walking to tourist landmarks and enjoyed our visit to the monument high on the hill. We nearly didn't go as clearly was being renovated but hey again well worth it.

Almeria city was okay but once you see the sights it’s just another city. We found it extremely difficult to find a good restaurant that was open. There really is nothing spectacular about Almeria city. If it’s on your travels then stop in but don’t go out of your way to visit.

Almeria is a beautiful coastal town with a long history as a trading port on the Mediterranean. Since it is a bit outside the typical tourist destinations it is less swamped by "hordes' of visitors. Numerous sights in town and countryside to explore, e.g. castle, cathedral, promenades, parks, markets, etc. It is surrounded by the only "real" desert in Europe!

Almeria is a little unknown Spanish city.
Almeria is a little unknown Spanish city. Small but it does offer an amazing foodie experience. Good weather all year around... And tapas come for free with your drink!
Apart from that, the beaches are amazing. Virgin wild beaches and coved that you can only access on foot.

The people are very nice and welcoming.
The people are very nice and welcoming. If you look for a place in a city which is still not too crowded the autumn in Almería is perfect! It is necessary that you have a bike or even a car to get around.
The location was amazing. A few stories above the beach, right on the beach with ample glass overlooking the malecon, sand and ocean. And just a few minutes to walk downtown. We also walked to Old Town and some Roman ruins. To have the beach, malecon and Old Town so close was a treat. And the windows facing the beach did a great job of keeping down the sound. No road to worry about so it was just people walking by and the sound of the ocean. It was off season but still busy on the beach with temps in the high 60'sF.
Terrific location, delicious buffet breakfast, clean and efficient. Opt for excellent buffet breakfast-inform staff a day head and they discount the buffet and you pay only nine euros each day you take it. Car parking is included in your fee and is easily accessible from main hotel; at arrival pull up to the front where there is a space to unload and they will inform you of garage location. Don't mix up Nuevo Torreluz with others; they have apartments and Torreluz Senior.
Ideally situated in the heart of the city within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and major tourist attractions. Reception staff were welcoming and all common areas were Covid secure and clean. Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was more than adequate for the time of year.
There is on site secure car parking at 16 euros per 24 hrs, a real bonus in a city hotel.
We would certainly stay at this hotel again should we visit Almeria once more.
We enjoyed our stay a lot at this wonderful place. The hosts where super nice and courteous, everything was clean and cozy. There where not a lot of people in the Guesthouse because it's small but everyone was friendly and you where never alone. Extraordinary was the roof terrace! Wonderful view over the city and on the Alcazaba. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets ever. I will definitely come back the next time I am staying in Almería.
The bed was comfortable and clean. Outside of the window was full of cigarette ends. I really missed a warm drink before I retired but was told that the kitchen was closed despite having a coffee machine in sight
I also left my book behind with a silver page marker in it. I don't want the book returned but would like the marker to be posted to

The location was fine, although I thought it would be on the beachfront so it took me a little longer to find it than it should have (also as Maps said it was on the other side of the road)! The room was really nice, the staff were really nice, and it was great that there was a kettle and teabags in the room. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch.
Everything. The location is perfect. Parking is free in the underground garage just 2 minutes away from the hotel. Apartments are big, well designed and well equipped. You also have fitness in the building. Pool is beautiful and nice way to refresh yourself in the middle of the city. All in all worth every penny.
From the start Lola was so nice, she showed us a map of Almeria with lots of cool activities to do, beaches to visit, good tapas restaurants and what to avoid.
She has been very available for us and the appartment was super clean and comfortable with TV, coffee, some breakfast in the fridge and a good bathroom
The hotel was a very good option for a one week holyday with my son. We specially liked: Breakfast, air conditioning (works perfect even without the card installed, very precised with the temperature) the cleanliness and the staff in general.
Location is perfect as a base to explore the city and surrounding area. The hotel room was small but clean, as was the bathroom, and the shower was good. Buffet breakfast was good. Only stayed three nights. At the upper end of budget hotels.
Amazing location for the old town. All the best tapas bars were within minutes of the hotel. The rooftop was amazing, lovely views and a nice pool. Room was very comfortable. Make sure you visit the baths as well, brilliant experience.
Perfect central location less than ten minutes walk from pretty much everywhere of interest. The included secure parking is a big plus, the centre of Almería can be a nightmare for parking. Super helpful and well organised host.
The hotel is in an excellent but quiet city centre location with lots of very good bars, restaurants and shops nearby. Most of Almeria's best tourist destinations are within walking distance, as are the train and bus stations.
the ancient baths in the hotel incredible! The rooftop breakfast views, the nice heated pool! And after some challenges, they really made up for it in way of some lovely gestures to improve and enjoy our stay :)
Great apartment with amazing sunset views over the mediterraneo!
One step outside and you are on the beach.
Good bar/cafetaria next door.
Best place to stay when you are in Almeria!
Very near central train and bus station which I needed. Near beach and near old quarter of the city. Great location. Very friendly and very affordable.
