The crown inn Longtown, hotel in Hereford

Located in Hereford, less than 1 km from Longtown Castle, The crown inn Longtown provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

Staff is very sweet and kind. I had dinner and was lovely. The room was very quiet and had a good bed. If you like quiet far away places this is the right place. Is very lovely Welsh inn but is not close to anything and may be fun for walkers or bikers. Is also romantic and may be worth for people going up Black Mountain.

Aylestone View, hotel in Hereford

Located in Hereford and only 45 km from Kingsholm Stadium, Aylestone View provides accommodation with inner courtyard views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Fab self catering facilities. Excellent locatiion. Character property. First floor. Top quality decor with personal touches. Spotlessly clean. Spacious lounge. View from all rooms to main road. Car parking in front. What a fab welcoming host too! Lovely touch of welsh cakes and fresh milk and eggs in the fridge, sadly never had time to fully appreciate everything. As in a rush didnt have time for the full personal tour on arrival or unpack all our food and found the kitchen had luxury under floor heating! Individual radiators have simple temp control as well as central one to adjust. Worth checking before bed as was a little too warm in the middle of the night.. Owner asked if want two singles or double made up for second bedroom. Contacted by email and text Hope to return. Thank you!

Hereford is a charming and compact town on the scenic River Wye, perfect for a short break of a few days. It boasts an impressive cathedral, a fascinating history museum in the form of the Black and White House (an original 17th century home still standing in the town square!) and an excellent cider museum. It's easy to get to via train (3 hours from London) and pleasant to walk around, so makes a great trip without a car. Only tricky part was finding anywhere that serves hot food after 6pm!

Hereford is a lovely city, very compact, many useful shops, beautiful cathedral, very very well worth visiting. Plenty of cafes and food places to eat. It is very easy to get to. We used the trains and buses to get to places such as Great Malvern with the famous lamps (Narnia, fabulous for stunning scenery) Ross on Wye (charming), Ludlow (interesting, beautiful buildings), Leominster (many antique shops). There is a Zipper bus which takes you around the town and to the train station for nothing (yes free!) People are so friendly (they say “Good morning” to you) not like London!

Hereford is a stunning county to visit.

Hereford is a stunning county to visit. Amazing cathedral and city to visit, pedestrians only in city. Lots of cafes and places to eat. River Wye is stunning and Symmonds Yat worth a visit. Maybe you will see a Peregrin Falcon there. Lots to do. The local theatre The Courtyard always has something on. There is a fabulous Cinema as well.

So much history and wonderful, old buildings in quite a small, easily walkable area. The Black and White House and the Catholic church, were particularly interesting. The Mappa Mundi and Cathedral are obviously worth a visit. The lack of cars in some streets was great. Far more relaxing without them. Good choice of eateries (e.g. Ponte Vecchio, The Bookshop, All Saints cafe). The outdoor market stalls were a delight but the indoor market needs a upgrade. Lots of potential. There is also a nearby walk in the countryside along the river bank, via Victoria Bridge then back along the other side to the west.

Hereford is a pretty town, we went for the Cathedral and Map a Mundi. I think it would suit people who like to go for a bit of a shop and the town centre looked nice when we were walking through, little lanes, little cafes, little independent shops as well as some of the majors. I enjoyed the Cathedral and the Black & White House Museum, the latter would also be good for children. Close to lovely countryside and striking distance from Hay On Wye and other pretty towns to visit so a good hub place to be based.

Really fantastic guest house within easy walking distance of the town centre in Hereford. Myself and a friend booked two nights for a wedding and were very pleased with the facilities including breakfast which was freshly made downstairs in a small dining/breakfast room. Despite being next to the road, it wasn't too loud and we had a very spacious room for two. Another great feature was that despite sharing a bathroom on the floor, there were plenty of supplies, and fresh shower mats provided for guests in the shared facilities.

The building is half a mile from the centre of Hereford making it an excellent choice if you plan to walk back, the beds were very comfortable albeit a little small (width and length) for a six foot tall person. The area appears safe and the b&b is located near a Sainsburys should you need it. The Alexander was also the cheapest and most available with less than a days notice in the entirety of the town. The rooms are quite clean (see cons) and the bathrooms are well equipped with showers also very clean.

We had a very good stay at Charades. It is a beautiful home that is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The proximity to the city makes it a wonderful location from which to explore Hereford. Breakfast was very good. The owners were extremely professional, paying great attention to detail and they were very friendly. If we are ever in the area again we will be back! Thank you very much.

Very comfortable hotel. We stayed in one of the townhouse rooms, well appointed, very quiet. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where we breakfasted very well. The hotel is well located to walk to all the main attractions in Hereford city centre. The hotel staff clearly take pride in the family-run business and made us feel very welcome.

Good location on outskirts of Hereford. Spacious room with everything you need including an electric fan! Nice to have windows you could open - rare for some hotels - esp welcome during 30 degree heat. Paid on line via PayPal for room only but opted for breakfast in the morning. Adequate buffet plus freshly cooked breakfast.
