Morpeth for us is a relaxing place to go and it's riverside and forest walk are ideal. It isn't great for places to eat if you are there for 7 days but we were self catering so not such a problem, we could find places to go out to eat for half the 7 days, but not the full 7 days. We love Lollo Roso but the meals are far to large for us to have 3 courses, a shame or go every night. We prefered to go To the Premier Inn restuarant at Ashington. where you get variety at a reasonable price.

We did part of the Northumberland Coastal walk (Cresswell to Dunstanburgh) and found the locals to be very friendly. Lots of free car parks near the coast, very well sign posted and plenty of benches.

Came for the Northumbrian Gathering.
Came for the Northumbrian Gathering. It's a great event if you like folk music and dancing. Lots of local culture. Talented artists. And the town itself is very attractive. It is small enough to park and walk to all places of interest.

Secret Cottage, Morpeth (Host: Alex) Morpeth was fine but accommodation and host not so good. Reported a major fault (no lighting in the main bathroom) this was not repaired during stay and to add insult to injury the host lied about everything in response to my review of Booking.com. Please don't trust this host or give him any of your hard-earned cash as he doesn't deserve the business. He was totally unsympathetic and had a terrible attitude. He said "go ahead and report to Booking.com because at the end of the day it is up to the host if a refund is given". AVOID THIS HOST!

Morpeth is a lovely little town.
Morpeth is a lovely little town. Highlights for me were the bagpipe museum - really is great - the park and all the little shops, especially the cheese shop by the clock tower. I went in windy January on a bicycle, which was not ideal, but I still really enjoyed myself.
Great to have a shower and toilet contained within the hut. Beautiful surroundings, saw a microlight and an aeroplane take off and land which was exciting (particularly for my daughter!) Outdoor seating area perfect for evenings. Owners very responsive to messaging on the app. My daughter slept happily on the sofa bed, the hut stayed nice and cosy all night.
It was right near the town and the car park was ( in my mind) very secure as it was through an archway behind the hotel and covered by CCTV. The bathroom had a nice shower and was very clean . We were right next to two supermarkets so were able to buy milk for breakfast easily ( we brought cereal with us )
The location was fantastic , very quiet with nice views , the lodge was very cosy and the hot tub was great. It had everything you need for a self catering holiday and the bottle of prosecco on arrival was a nice touch , the wi-fi was very good and we had a really nice stay.
Absolutely beautiful lodge, we have stayed around this area before as it isn’t far from home but once you’re there it feels like a million miles away. Stunning caravan and will be using Lone Star Lodge again very soon. (Thank you for the free wine and crisps!)
Staff were friendly and flexible with our arrival times, breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and was very good quality.
The rooms were quiet and clean, would definitely stay again if in the area as really good value for money.
I absolutely loved staying at this beautiful B&B. Very well thought out and had everything and more that I needed in the room.
The decor was beautiful. I will definitely be staying there again when visiting family in Morpeth.
Location was excellent. Just a walk to Morpeth. A lovely park across the road to take the dog for a walk. The property was well equipped and cosy warm. Comfy beds. Hosts responded quickly to any communication.
The property is really well located for access to Morpeth, it’s a very nice renovation and the property is very warm. The bath in the main bedroom is wonderful, and great to have two large smart tvs.
The cottage was well equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean. It’s in a perfect location and everything within Morpeth is within walking distance of the cottage.
