Kutchan is a lovely city with friendly locals and widespread English proficiency, making communication easy. There are plenty of options for renting or purchasing snowboard gear, which is convenient for enthusiasts. Overall, I will definitely return to Kutchan.

The owners were extremely nice and communicated everything well. There a bus stop for both directions at the entrance making it very accessible to either town. When I got hurt and had to go to the hospital the grandma at the property who used to be a nurse helped re bandage my ankle after the hospital didn’t do a good job and everyone checked on me every day. There are many nice restaurants around the area. The room is clean and tidy, and spacious enough even for family of three like us (Two adults and One child). Niseko has changed a lot over the years with high end luxury hotels which really don’t belong in this once sleepy snow town. this is a family ran ski lodge with the most care and hospitality offered to guests. i’ve found my accommodation in niseko after visiting niseko for 15 years.
