Location within walk distance from Onsen bus terminal and near to shops and Hell Valley.
Nice layout, well decorated and spacious room (for 3 pax) with partition for different areas and has separate basin, toilet and shower areas.
Guests were asked to choose timing for having the meals at the restaurant. Great dinner and breakfast set meal, delicious and nice presentation. These were the best meals we had in Hokkaido.
Guest's shoes are stored in pigeonholes near the entrance of hotel and slippers were provided for guest to wear inside the hotel.
At restaurants, pegs with number were provided for guest to clip to their respective slippers. When our slippers were taken by other guests, the staff provided us with another set of slippers. Great service provided by the restaurant staff as well.
As this is the first time we stayed in a rokyan, it was overall a great experience.

We stayed there for two nights and it was a very satisfying and pleasant experience. All aspects, including the staff, the room facilities, the breakfasts and dinners, the environment and the location, are all excellent! It will be a good choice if you want to experience the vibe and services of a traditional Japanese onsen hotel when visiting Hokkaido!

Breakfast is delicious, varied and artfully presented. The portions are just nice for me but big eaters may find it inadequate

Shikotu Toya National Park is wonderful, so much to see and explore. The onsen at the Grand hotel were amazing, very relaxing. I would have liked to visit the Ainu museum at Shiroai, but we didn't have time. The Cultural exchange centre near Noboribetsu Station was very interesting though, and they had excellent ice creams.

The hot baths, buffet breakfast with many local delicacies and location, being just beside the Hell Valley is worth experiencing. However, pricing may be a bit steep for the size of the room we stayed.

If the weather is good, I would recommend going up the Observatory where one could view the entire Lake Toya.
Not to be missed is the Jigokudani - Hell Valley and must try the onsen there. Very tourist friendly (surprisingly big towels were provided).
There was a nice cafe near Lake Toya which serves very good pizza.

The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath.
The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath. Hotel in here is kinda on the expensive end, it could cost you almost $400-500/night but it you want to have a nice and good experience it's worth it. There's a few tourist attraction but not much but you can take a bus to a 10mnt near town which is more lively, there's also a ninja village which a must visit for a ninja fans, food is good overall and hokkaido is known as a Miso prefecture, drown yourself into a miso ramen nearby and taste a heaven soup breath life into your cold body in winter which is the best time to visit here around dec - feb. definitely would come again next year after the travel ban lifted ^^
The hotel has an amazingly large onsen area, that is two floors and with an outdoor area that looks at the main tourist attraction - Hell's Valley. It is literally right behind the hotel, and this would be the closest hotel to the attraction. There must be at least 20 onsens you can try within their facility. There is then another floor below all this that houses a nice swimming pool with water slides. The kids had a lot of fun here and we would love to visit again. The buffet options for dinner and breakfast were also very comprehensive.
Lovely and helpful staff. Most spoke/understood a little English, however one person on staff was very good and was very kind to help us.
Location was perfect in the middle of noboribetsu onsdn with walking distance to Jigokudani.
Food was classic multicourse ryokan menu, mainly different fish.
Our room was spacious and comfortable enough.
Onsen was great with possibility to rent 50 min in private onsen. Both the public and private onsen had indoor and outdoor onsen, so perfect in the snowy weather.
This onsen hotel is located in the heart of noboribetsu, just 3 mins away from jigokudani. Amazing spread and variety for dinner and breakfast buffet, and a dedicated kids play space and even kids dinner buffet spread (no one pointed it out to us, but we chanced upon it luckily). The onsen and rooms are old but well maintained, and the hotel can get quite crowded with big groups coming in but the hotel is well-equipped for that. The price point is also extremely reasonable.
Great location right next to the famous hell valley hot springs. A big and well equipment onsen hotel. (One of the biggest for me). Excellent facilities, super dinner buffet! Snow crab all you can eat. Many different hot springs onsen with swimming pool. It is not a cheap onsen hotel, but worth the money. Wonderful and helpful staff. They even have people at the door to guide you to the nearby parking lot. Very thoughtful.
Comfortable hotel in a a rural setting. The rooms are spacious, a combination of western style beds and a tatami area. The hotel may look a bit dated here and there but that adds to its charm. The onsen is on the top floor, partly on a terrace and worth a visit. Less clear is that the hotel offers a free shuttle service to the airport and to Sapporo. Only once a day, so inquire in advance.
Breakfast was too late for an early departure 8am so didn’t get any.
Wooden floors are creaky and were extremely noisy. You can hear constant walking up and down the stairs even with earplugs so didn’t get much sleep with was annoying.
I wouldn’t recommend staying in Noboribetsu. The Onsen town or muroran would have been a wiser choice.
It was centrally located, the Adex Cafe was warm, inviting and served good food, my room was spacious and best of all, guests had access to the grand onsen Daiichi Takimotokan across the street. Wow, so many bathing choices in a lux onsen. Was duly impressed. But I enjoyed the smaller, informal and relaxing vibe at Adex Inn more.
Staff was really nice and friendly. The onsen very relaxing and enjoyable. I suggest you take the breakfast and dinner option because you won't regret it. Japanese cuisine to its fullest potential. This place must be much better than bigger hotels. Awesome value for money and very good experience all around. Totally recommend.
Excellent service. Property is sparking clean. The hotel has a souvenir shop on site. Onsen is fantastic, especially the open air onsen. Breakfast is very good. The hotel is just few minutes away from the bus terminal. There is a convenient store across from the hotel. Very convenient. I would stay there again.
The accommodations of this ryokan is amazing. The staff is professional, hospitable, and responsive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The baths are clean, and the onsen is comfortably hot. The meals are well-made and delicious. And finally, the location is close to several major points around the spa town.
Spacious room, Japanse ryokan feeling and matching facilities. The buffet was very nice, fresh made by chefs and catering towards different tastes. The location is excellent, nearby Jigukudani. The onsen had a bath/onsen inside and out, and a pleasant sauna. Staff spoke English.
Great small ryokan with excellent food, the friendliest staff anywhere on our 2.5 week trip in Japan. Wonderful small onsen open 24 hours/day also convenient. Just a short walk up the hill to “Hell’s Valley” was one of the more memorable experiences of the entire trip.
very spacious suite with private onsen. in room onsen is clean and spacious. modern design gives you simplicity and cleaniness. Japanese restaurant is good price with good food(we were the only customer there for dinner). Buffet breakfast offered large varieties.
The rooms were spacious and clean, staff super helpful and the crab dinner meal was incredible with so much to choose from!
Onsens were great and we loved the outdoor areas too - would definitely recommend anyone coming in Noboribetsu to stay here!
