Good location set within a castle on top of a hill overlooking the town.
Good rooms which are large and same old style as all pousada's, good breakfast and bar but can't coment on the evening meal as we didn't eat there of a night.

I have enjoyed staying here before but now they have started upgrading the rooms with new more modern furniture which is good.
I still love how quiet the place is and how nice the staff is.
It is very poor in all terms. Everything is very cheap and old, photos looks waaaaay better than things really are. Sink didn't flush the water, so it was always full of water, no shower gel, no toothpaste. Smells very bad inside the room and outside. Inner yard is awful, burned and never cutted grass, garbage on the ground, broken glass...
In general it is uncomfortable motel, which doesn't cost 125€, max 50.

Great bed and bedding.
Great bed and bedding. We had one dinner there, it was good but not exceptional, breakfasts were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the beautiful sitting area.
Enjoyed exploring the castle right there but walking into Palmela very steep so we did not explore the town much.
We explored the nature estuary near Setabul and did some birdwatching.

The whole complex is faded glory, the golf course is overgrown with grass and weeds. The area around the apartments is poorly maintained with dried out plants because the irrigation system no longer works. Outside around the apartments it is a mess with crumple and dog poop in front of the door. It is clean in the apartments themselves, but many things do not seem to work or are incomplete (jamming doors, broken tap, inventory incomplete, shower water does not drain). In short, a very disappointing accommodation for a hefty price).

Nice quiet neighborhood, very close to my son's apartment.
Nice quiet neighborhood, very close to my son's apartment. This apartment just has the basics, but nice shower & bed, clean. No more golf course, though. There is a restaurant about 100 yards away. No public transportation close.
The location just under the castle at Palmela is amazing, at the top of quaint winding streets, and with a view over the city and the Parque Natural da Arrábida.
The hotel has only a few rooms, each with its own character, and tasteful mix of traditional and modern interior finishings.
The staff and owner are most welcoming, and ready to help make one's stay the best experience.
Breakfast is a treat, with a generous spread of cereals, bread, jams, freshly cut fruit, cheese and hams . . . a morning pleaser !
it has an excellent location and a friendly helpful staff and the small pool area is a nice place to end a day of touristing. breakfast was breads meats cheeses fruit cereals etc no cooked food. while the guest house has no parking there always seemed to be spaces within a short distance. when you come down the shirt steep hill look to your right where the guest house is to see if there is a space if not look to the left and if none there the dead end street straight ahead always seemed to have spaces
Everything was perfect. A very clean comfortable apartment ,with comfy beds in a spacious room. Very handy to have a kitchenette and balcony. A short drive to Palmela and its lovely castle. We didn't try the breakfast, but it looked very nice. The price we paid for a night was more than reasonable. I would definitely stay again , as there are restaurants within easy walking distance.
What to say? The couple who runs the space, always open, available, and incredibly kind. The secluded, safe, and peaceful location. The facilities, all that was necessary was available, everything super clean, spacious, and comfortable. Quality breakfast. Enjoying the pool in the morning and/or afternoon sun. What's not to like? Would recommend it to all my friends if I had any.
Absolutely delightful little cottage in a typical small community. Well equipped and perfect for a few days stay in Palmela. Charming and welcoming host. Nice gift of local cheese and wine. Lots to see locally, particularly the castle, but there's plenty more in a short distance. Gòd local shops and eateries, and all the main brands within a couple of kilometres. We loved it.
The hosts were very kind and helpful. The house was clean and bed were very comfortable.
The property is very spacious and the swimming pool was large and did not have a strong smell of chlorine.
We enjoyed our stay as a family and we would return to the villa if we return to Palmela.
The room and interior spaces are clean, airy, spacious, well designed and new. Lovely room looking out onto a quaint street, great location in proximity to the castle. Great little cafe right opposite to the hotel.
Very friendly staff that make you feel welcome.
The Castelo is in a lovely spot with amazing views. Their breakfast had extensive offerings and dinner was also delicious. We were just a short drive away to wine tourism and we enjoyed the town of Palmela as well. The staff were all lovely and accommodating.
.Great apartment in beautiful surroundings. And you have a small inner court all to yourself. There is only this one apartment Very nice rooms and bathrooms. Great experience to stay in a winery. Staff was very serviceminded and very helpful
The host is very nice and the backyard space is great. The bathroom is very large. Although I didn’t use it, the kitchen is well appointed (although, there were a lot of leftover items in the pantry that looked fairly disgusting).
Nice & cosy apartment with lovely details. The place was re-done with a lot of individuality and if you are looking for something else than the stereotypical hotel room, that's your place.
What I liked was the Arrábida Park, which is not related to the hotel. The park is beautiful by itself and worth visiting. I would choose another hotel in this park though.
There was no fee for a dog. The apartment looks very cute. You can see, that a lot of love was put into the decoration. The location next to the Palmela castle was great.
Sanders is such a lovely person! The room is huge, the shower clean and the stone optic is like in a 5 star luxury hotel. Next time we will stay longer!
