The suite was located in a busy area of Barcelona close to bars, restaurants, tourist sites. The suites are located in a renovated building and were beautifully appointed and provided all the amenities needed to provide for a carefree visit. UMA is not a hotel but has a dedicated front desk staff who were most helpful providing directions and dining recommendations. Barcelona is a very large city and the street configuration can be very confusing (next time I will buy a SIM card). However, the location was very central and allowed us to walk to all the tourist sightseeing locations without difficulty. Although the streets are very crowded we never felt unsafe at any time.

The hostess at reception was very warm, communicated well and was very helpful. The check in process was clear and provided in good time. it made the whole process so easy. she was also a great help when we left to catch the train to the airport. Thanks for a great stay. we will definitely stay there the next time we are in Barcelona

Beautiful historic building with a secret roof-top garden. Very elegantly furnished rooms, great shower, comfortable bed. There's an excellent common area for the guests to make coffee, tea, with local sweet pastries as a compliment. My little girl loved the marshmallow and the gummies. :) There is a superb breakfast with great variety. The staff is super nice and helpful. The location is excellent. 10 mins walk to the Aquarium or to the zoo, close to the Ramblas, and it's next to the gothic quarter with its zig-zag little streets busting with life and nice little shops. Absolutely recommend it!

Location perfect for eating, visiting, metro. Cleanliness perfect. Room is a little small but everything else compensated for that. We stayed only 4 nights.

We loved staying at Casa Filomena! The accommodations were super stylish and the food -- we arranged with the host to have a dinner and two breakfasts at the Inn -- was just superb. Pati, who owns & runs the place, is exceedingly kind, informative, cheerful, and helpful! We were hoping for a stay that would be more personable -- and less generic -- than a big-box hotel, and Casa Filomena fit the bill perfectly. The area is filled with lovely shops and restaurants and cafes and with easy access to Barcelona's wonderful Metro system, we had no trouble navigating the city by foot, by bus, and by subway. It was an ideal stay -- and we'll be back.

Casa del Mediterraneo was the greatest experience we could have found in Barcelona. The location was the greatest (just 5 min walk from Casa Batllo), there were many local restaurants, bars and clubs around. The host, Carlos, was the nicest and helpful person we have encountered. he explained everything about our stay, explained the city, what to visit, where to dine, and the piblic transportation to the main touristic locations. The rooms were neat clean, comfortable beds and cute little balconies. The optional breakfast was very good as well in the cafe accross the street. overall, Casa del Mediterraneo was the greatest experience.

Perfect location, easy access to the hotel from the airport (via Aerobus) and Barcelona Sants train station. Ainhoa and Bruno who manages Izaila, are very helpful and always ready to answer questions. Easy to communicate, fast to response. I was upgraded to a room with a view and though it faces the street, the sound-proofing works well and I was able to sleep easy. Room was clean and spacious and bed is comfortable. Izaila has an elevator as well, so it's easy for guests with heavy luggages. I was able to walk to all tourists attractions, and El Corte Inglés is just directly opposite. I was so happy with Izaila that I decided to book another two nights with them. Highly recommend.

The place it is very well maintained, typical Barcelonese building in a lovely and safe area near restaurants, shops and bars. The room with private bathroom very clean and conformable matrass and pillows. The host's cordiality offered information regarding points of interest, transportation there is a luggage deposit and a lounge room with free cakes, purified water and teas, fridge and freezer. Really good place to stay in a lovely location.
