It's a safe, clean, lovely little guest house and Sona makes the stay in Varanasi so easy - she cooks indian and western dishes, she can offer you a boatride, trip around the city or transfer from and to the airport, as well as yoga/cooking/music classes. Rooms are tiny but comfortable.

We loved our stay at Ashirvad. Tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings (the bed was heavenly) and in a peaceful residential area, it became an oasis to return to after a day out in the summer heat and hustle bustle of Varanasi. An added bonus is the warm owner Kanchan auntieji who made us feel at home - we enjoyed the conversations with her and amazing breakfast prepared every morning; she even ensured we had some of her famous kachori to take on our early morning flight out.

Mejor estancia imposible. Deepak me lo puso todo muy fácil, me ayudó en todo durante mi estancia en Varanasi. También me dio una vuelta en barco por el rio Ganges y me explicó muchas cosas. La habitación amplia y limpia. El colchón y la almohada súper cómodos. Todo nuevo. Sin duda el mejor sitio donde me he hospedado en India. Muchas gracias por todo, si vuelvo a Varanasi, sin duda me alojaré aquí.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and j could get food at the hotel. It was based in sarnath which is a quiet area of Varanasi and I could walk into the local town centre, there was the beautiful stupa where Buddha did his first sermon and a magical spiritual wisdom garden close by.
