Lakeside Suites is a real gem in Kolkata. It's the southern part of the city, which is less busy but well connected by bus, taxi or rickshaw to other parts of Kolkata. There are many shops, tea stalls and eateries nearby, and even phone shops to get a local sim. The rooms are very clean and spacious - both my wife and I had space to do yoga in the room- and there is a shared living room and kitchen per floor. There is freshly made Indian-style breakfast is served every day. The owner Manoj, his son and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and also very helpful in helping us navigate things like doing laundry, using train apps and finding things. I have to stress, though, that this place is super clean and there is even filtered drinking water available for all the suites. We had to stay an extra day, and they quickly accommodated us as well. All in all, a really nice experience that in all honesty we were sad to leave behind.

I love this hotel very nice people ,good wifi ac is good clean room and spacious and peaceful i highly recommend this hotel. And also location is good restaurant coffee shop everywhere.

The great hospitality provided by the owner. (I got to have a slice of cake on her birthday which was coinciding on one of my stay dates.) They are absolutely graceful and treat the guests as their friends.

Wonderful stay. I must stay one of the best accommodation in at this budget. Staffs are very friendly and place is simply awesome 👌. Room is very clean and silent for a peaceful sleep. I must say more than expected when I entered into this property. The building and entrance is little old type but once you reach the apartment its superb and staffs always there for any kind of help. A must try for all the backpackers,want to explore the real India. The place is away from any hustle bustle but just few mints away from massive market crowd. Host is so generous and always there to help you. Food is just DELICIOUS!!!!!!
