I like EVERYTHING about it! The staff there is wonderful! One of the main reasons why I will come back to the hotel and EVEN JAPAN! they’re just amazing and the facilities are just as good! Everything is so clean, well organised, just perfect! I arrived from my flight at almost 3 am and there was someone waiting for me, he helped me with my luggage, prepared some slippers for me, and told me we could do the paper work in the morning, that I should just rest first after a long flight. The bathrooms are SO CLEAN! honestly everything about this place is perfect! I highly recommend it!

The house is really convenient, Makoto san and the staff are really nice and will help you as much as they can! + people in the guesthouse are usually really nice too! you’ll definitely make friends if you’re traveling alone ! everything is clean and organized, you can really feel a sense of home if you can live in community and stay a little more than a few days

The room was a good size and came with a small kitchen. Many heaters were provided. The area was very quiet. Very close to shimokitazawa station and shops.

I loved loved staying here! Ash has put a lot of thought into every single detail in the hostel, and has left notes at most parts of the hostel which was very helpful! - There was breakfast included which was cereal or bread which was a really nice simple way to start the day! - The beds were so so comfortable - I haven’t slept until my alarm has gone off in a long time! - There’s plenty of space in the female dorm, and there was a cute little desk space where you can even put your feet down and a great security box system! It felt very personal and tiny house living-Esau’s! - Ash also let us use his bikes which was a nice way to see and explore the neighbourhood. - Parking was really close by and for 1200 yen a day in Tokyo?? Great great price Ash was very helpful and I would highly recommend this place for anyone with a car and wanting a place away from the business of the main area of the city!

Hisayo-san! She’s the perfect host. Super friendly and kind and was very patient with all my questions. She kept everyone involved so that we could all help each other out. I love the core concept of this 'scattered hotel' that encourages guests to engage with the community. From the welcome walking tour of the neighborhood, to a detailed map and restaurant recommendations, to the tickets to the neighborhood bathhouse, I really felt anchored in a sense of place. Breakfast is in a separate building down the road. For a solo traveler, my tatami mat room and adjacent but private toilet (shared shower) were perfect. Neighborhood is lots of fun to explore, and the 'concierge' was so helpful, and warm, and responsive. Wonderful experience.

I just had to go back once more, and it did not disappoint me. It actually felt like home. Not only Yuta and Nana are very kind owners, all the people I met there were really nice. Next time I'm in Tokyo again, it's definitely a place I'll stay at.
