Located 500 metres from Abraao Beach, Canoa Abraão offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a terrace. Super friendly and non intrusive hosts, they helped us leave our stuff early before check-in and also later during check out. The island was without electricity, their property had a generator that enabled the place to have warm water and light etc despite the power cut. They also had a complimentary afternoon lunch for the guests (and breakfast, obviously). Also close to some bars that are more low-mid range in price.

Staff is so friendly and helpful, always willing to make you feel comfortable and solve any issues or requests. Anabella and their staff are thoughtful of your needs at all times and generous in whatever way they can. I’ll surely recommend and come back!

Featuring a bar and views of sea, La Coquille is a recently renovated guest house located in Praia de Araçatiba, a few steps from Aracatiba. The staff ess very sweet and helpful. Offering garden views, O Sitio - Ilha Grande in Abraão offers accommodation, a restaurant, a bar, a garden, a private beach area and water sports facilities. As a gardener, I could not resist this special place, designed by a landscape designer, for my first stay in the Atlantic rainforest. The beautiful grounds give way to total nature in steps. It was quiet and comfortable, a true getaway from it all but easy to reach town in minutes by boat. The walk to Abraao is worth doing once, but make use of the convenient boat to reach the more impressive hiking paths on the island. We enjoyed listening to the frogs and birds—watch out for hummingbirds and bright blue butterflies. The breakfast and dinner was fantastic.

Fauna is located on a the small more hidden beach of Bananal on the beautiful island Ilha Grande. If you are looking for a romantic quiet and beautiful place away from mass tourism don’t look further. The host Natalia will make you feel at home and treat you like you’re in paradise. And as bonus you will make some new kittie and dog friends that are happily walking around.

Offering garden views, Saracura is an accommodation set in Praia de Araçatiba, 300 metres from Araçatibinha Beach and 500 metres from Aracatiba. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruits and juice. Simone, Maria and Jessica were very helpful. We had very nice stay. Our bungalow in top of hill had super nice view from windows directly to rainforest. Keep in mind that you have to walk up the stairs, but it's worth it! Great place.
